The staff are friendly and attentive. We sat outdoors and it was pleasant. We had to wait an extremely long time for our pizza once ordered - 50 minutes is way beyond what I'd expect. My friend had a gluten free based one and it was very difficult to cut, even with a serrated knife. We have seen some very good reviews so perhaps we caught them on an off day. Not sure I'd be in a hurry to return.

Unfortunately for our anniversary celebration and all the other diners, there were a crowd of very raucous people. They were a crowd of at least 12 persons, mainly men, and were totally oblivious to the fact that their noise level made it impossible for us to have any conversation at our table. Our complaint to the manager was met with "I am sorry but there is nothing I can do about it". This group commandeered the staff with their constant ordering of more beer and therefore the service was poor to the rest of the diners. A suggestion to CHK, in such a small restaurant, should such a booking for a large crowd be accepted and if so why not utilise one of the outside tables.

Food was delicious, although we had a long wait between courses, but that was probably becausenof Father’s Day. We sat outside (in the shade) and were cold, we were offered blankets (which was appreciated) which helped. There was no room in the restaurant. Because of the cold weather (and windy) the experience wasn’t as good as it could have been. I will book inside next time!

Booked a table for 4 as some friends were up from Bedfordshire , we had been before so knew what to expect, no complaints from us and guests were very impressed , food was excellent, wine reasonably priced so we will be back, what’s not to like, keep it up CHK it’s a winning combination. Thanks Cliff

Very disappointed, meal ordered at 5.45 arrived 6.50 and in my case was not the pizza I ordered. The couple on the table next to me also complained about time taken to food arrive. As always noise levels are so high.
