This is a pretty consistent restaurant. The waitress was ok, the table was ready on time and the food was good.

The food was really good. Overall though we were very disappointed with the experience. Our server was new which is fine but he was solo waiting on tables and he should have had people helping him. Unless he was lying he said it was his first shift working brunch and he couldn’t answer basic questions about the menu. He seemed very new to waiting tables in general. I would have thought management would have better training and support for new staff. He also should have gone to ask someone out questions. where we were sat was quite cold as they had a door propped open. Someone closed it and shortly afterward the restaurant staff came and opened it. The whole room was quite cold with the breeze.

We’ve experienced your lovely restaurant before. We personally enjoyed it more in the off season (Thanksgiving weekend) and before all the crap outside the restaurant on the hill next door. Our guests loved the restaurant. One thing that bothered us—babies. Not a place for the family. I guess if they pay it’s okay. Why do people take kids and dress like they just got off the street or beach in an upscale restaurant? Is there no respect anymore? The service great. The food beautifully presented. We dressed up to have a nice dinner out. We respected this establishment.

Ambience very nice. Bathrooms not attended too. Service attentive but not overly friendly. Food lacked flavor.

Wonderfull food, well prepared and presented. Extremely knowledgeable waiter, quick with suggestions from wine to entrees. Great interactions with front of house and bartender.

Beautiful restaurant across from the water. Simple but elegant decor, casual. Excellent food, service, selections, we will be back!

Had heard that Chive was a great restaurant. Maybe we hit it on a bad night. Party of 6 I had the special which was swordfish. It was good. Came out hot. The issue is, we were seated, had cocktails, ordered the charcuterie board and the escargot. Both came quickly and were good. We ordered our dinners and never saw our waitress again for 30-45 minutes. No more drinks, wine, or water. No telling us what was taking so long for our food to come. Our food came probably 45 minutes after we ordered it. It was hot and tasted okay, but not worth the money. Disappointing.

The experience was wonderful. The food,(filet, whitefish, and shrimp was all excellent. Our server was efficient and friendly. The restaurant itself is very cozy and warm. Not to be forgotten is the bread service. It was sooo good. It was a perfect dinner.
