Suggest order multiple dishes to share. Portions, including salads, are huge. Sadly, they just have wine and beer. Amazing bread and steaks were perfectly prepared. Great vibe - it does feel like a speakeasy.

The service was good but kitchen was slow to cook our steak. Food was very tasty.

First burger experience at our beloved Spacca. Hands down best burger we’ve had. The focaccia as always was perfection. I could eat one a day. And the onion rings superb.

One of our all time fans. The kitchen staff are perfectionists. The service is exquisite and impeccable. The vibe is casual. Wood fired meats are the specialty here but everything is top notch. We go monthly at least

Chi SPACCA was everything I hoped it would be. The ambiance was the highlight. 1. It's a fun dining experience to eat at the chef's counter with the flame grill right in front of you (a little warm on the forehead so be prepared). 2. The music is rock hits mostly from the 70's and 80's which is exactly what I want while cooking meat on an open fire. 3. everything that can be cooked on the flame is cooked on the flame. Standouts that we ate were the Focaccia Di Recco (crispy cheese flatbread) and the Bistecca Fiorentina (think Chef's Table Dario Cecchini from Panzano, Italy). Personally still think a dry aged steak needs an accompaniment, though not a heavy sauce that masks it, so I used the Salanova Lettuces with lemon vinaigrette to provide some acid. If we go back we'd definitely like to explore some of the more creative smaller meat dishes (there are several that looked yummy on the grill).

This is my second time dining here, first experience was great. I tried the chicken pot pie, which didn’t have any issues. Second time was good as well. Though there were some small things that were not as positive. This time I tried the beef bone marrow pie, and it was served with the inside layer of the dough raw. The meat and outside of the pie were cooked so it looked fine, but upon eating it, I was just eating a mouthful of uncooked mushy dough with the beef in some parts. I’m not sure if this is how they normally are and understand why this would happen, since it looked cooked from the outside and was flaky too, which was deceiving. It also could have been because of the moisture inside the pie, as I have had the same issue with other savory pies with to wet of a filling. I will be skipping the bone marrow pie in the future and making sure others do as well as overall it was a bit of a disappointment, though the bone made a great treat for my dog. I will definitely be coming back to try the other savory pies as I have tried many savory pies from other restaurants with some having the same issue as this one, and I haven’t found any other higher end savory pie places with the exception of Erewhon, (chicken pot pie, which is also hit and miss sometimes being raw or overcooked). The service was excellent, clean bathroom, nice environment, good menu selection, and good bread. Though the desert variety was a bit small, with only tarts and ice cream.
