À l'âge de 15 ans, le chef français Alain Lecomte fait ses débuts à Paris et à Monte Carlo. En 2000, il se voit récompensé pour ses années de travail et reconnu comme Maître Cuisinier de France. Après s'être installé en Virginie il y a 12 ans, il travaille comme chef au Prince Michel Winery, mais lui et sa femme Annie garde secrètement le rêve de posséder leur propre restaurant à Richmond, en Virginie. Le restaurant Chez Max est la concrétisation de ce rêve. Venez déguster des plats français classiques, dont les senteurs et les arômes qui s'échappent de la cuisine donnent une idée des délices qui vous attendent. L'intérieur décontracté, confortable et élégant du restaurant en fait un lieu chaleureux et accueillant. Une grande cheminée en pierre orne un coin de la salle à manger principale, l'éclairant d'une lumière douce. Annie et Alain Lecomte, entourés de leur équipe de professionnels, sont impatients de pourvoir partager une soirée mémorable en votre compagnie.

We had an outstanding experience from the service to the food. The bartender, waiter, and even the owner checked on us several times to ensure our visit was awesome. We loved the food, but the Calf liver was exceptional. Can’t wait till our next visit.

From beginning to end, my birthday celebration was wonderful. We started with the escargot. The presentation is so impressive that first-time diners asked us what we were eating! It is always outstanding. My husband got the dover sole which is always delicious. I had lump crab stuffed salmon with a beurre blanc. Wow! I will definitely order that again. Chez Max has one of the best molten chocolate cakes in town and the creme brulee is delectable. We love Chez Max. They have consistently delicious food and the service is impeccable. If you haven't visited, you must!

Excellent service and cuisine. Also, half price a bottle of excellent champagne on a Sunday night was an added bonus! We will, without a doubt, be back.

I thought to myself earlier in the week what to do Friday? Do I want to go out to eat, go to a restaurant or an experience? I chose a known experience and I am glad I did. Oliver is consistently excellent as food and wine guide and he compliments the meal with his knowledge and obvious experience. Chez Max is an experience for the food and wine enthusiastic and reservations should be made for you to enjoy it all!

Chez Max is consistently excellent - the food, the service, the varied menu, the wine list and the prices. I highly recommend Chez Max for any occasion or just a night out.

Oliver, our weight staff was excellent. He was very informed about the menu as well as wine selections. Our food choices, seafood, crêpes, and halibut were excellent. We look forward to going again.
