    This was a wonderful experience. The attention to detail was amazing. True baguette traditionale. And the escargot took me back to ones I had in France and Montreal. By the way the butter from the Loire valley is exquisite. All in all one of the best French restaurants I have ever been in the USA.

    Our first visit here when it was newly opened was amazing so we came back for a birthday celebration. This time service was very lack luster and apps were great but mains felt like frozen dinners.

    Chez Maggy is, hands down, our favorite restaurant in Denver! So authentically French, yet unpretentious. A culture of excellence and a great team provides a memorable dining experience. The entrees we had (truite amandine and bolognese) were absolute perfection. Although so many other menu items look wonderful, and we hope to try them in the future, so far we keep coming back to these two. Service was professional and attentive (appreciate you, Birch!) but not intrusive or smothering. You could tell that the actions of everyone we encountered, from the host who greeted us to the managers who checked on us, and certainly the kitchen are held to Chef Ludo's high standards. A wonderful experience we are anxious to repeat!

    I really wanted to overlook this restaurant being in the lobby of a hotel with a clear view of the registration desk from my table…but there were far more misses that provided disappointment. The server clearly confused the attempt of efficiency with an aloof lack of hospitality. The food was explained as the chef’s nod to French classics. The trout almandine was dry, overcooked, with no lovely butter sauce, overcooked almonds and over-rendered bacon. The harcorts were served with stems still attached, a huge miss. My glass of viognier was served warm. It was noted on the reservation we were celebrating my birthday, which was ignored as we watched the table next to us receive the celebratory dessert and insta moment. I presented the gift card i received with the check and the server commented to my dinner companion that it knocked off a hundred bucks - not even half of our dinner for two. My companion asked that I not speak to the invisible manager, pointing out that i would likely never dine there again. How true…..

    We ordered the pea salad which was tasty. Then Duck which was fairly good and roasted squash which was over cooked and lacked any flavor. The crispy chickpeas it was garnished with were almost tooth-breakingly hard. We chose cherry galette for dessert. The crust was thick and undercooked and it was capped with a cloyingly sweet honey ice cream that completely overwhelmed. The service was attentive but overall our dinner was overpriced and there are many better options—I can’t see returning to this place.

    Phenomenal food and service! The awesome quality was the same as Le Petite Tios in Los Angeles, our favorite place!

    Chez Maggy is a solid French dining experience with great food, service, and ambience. I love the simple boston lettuce salad and have had great pastas, meat and seafood entrees. The brunch is also wonderful. Whenever I’m in town I stay at the Thompson so I can eat at chez Maggy.
