The first location of Chevy's Fresh Mex opened in 1986 in Alameda, California. Many other locations have since come to life, including the one in Linden, New Jersey. With brightly painted walls and eclectic artwork and lighting, the dining room contributes to the fun, comfortable vibe. Had a great time. There is a long story about how they accepted our reservation, but shouldn’t have. Jess & her crew made it right. So thankful for them, cause we ended up being a part of 12. So grateful for them working with us.

Classic margarita just perfect to my taste. Chicken flautas was tasty. Their baby back ribs with or without the sauce just fall-off-the-bone ... Delicious!

Baby back ribs with or without the sauce on it was tasty. Fall off the bone, tender and moist. Natalie was pleasant and attentive. Classic margarita was perfect!

We were seated immediately. The hostess had to find the waiter to take our order, but once he did he was attentive and friendly and helped me put our leftovers in the giant bag. We both had the chimichangas which were a large portion and I thought were good. My husband didn't like them. He probably should have had a fajita.

Unattentive staff. We walked the hostess was seating chating with her friends. Looked at us, and continued some fun conversation. Not work related. After about 8 minutes she decided to take us a table. It was very early evening and the restaurant was almost empty. Our table was sticky! The food was ok but definitely not worth $$$$$ price. Small portions of very basic meal. Took 30 min to look for our waitress to get the bill. A lady who seemed like a manager had to look for her. The waitress charged my card, just threw the bill on our table. Didn't even bother to bring a pen. Weird experience.

Surprisingly great! Baby back rib was indeed delicious with or without the barbecue sauce. Classic Margarita was excellent. Nachos grande was good, however not enough meat. Nice ambience…felt like I was on vacation! Deborah was attentive and pleasant.

Value is good. Food was good and what you’d expect from a chain. The Spicey wasn’t too Spicey and everything is middle of the road. Better than fast food Mexican which is all that is around these days.
