                                                              We’ve dined here a few times now as from the first time we received a lovely Warm welcome from Luke and his team. We were seated promptly and everything just flows from here in the nicest way. A complimentary glass of bubbles for the Christmas season followed by scallops in their shells and we each had chicken and mash, very nice indeed

                                                              Great restaurant, attentive staff even on the busiest night we were well looked after sitting at the bar - friendly service and great food - have been many times and always a safe bet

                                                              We celebrated a family birthday in Chequer Lane. The staff were super attentive & sang happy birthday with a candle. The restaurant was full of people enjoying Christmas celebrations. The food was outstanding. Something for everyone!

                                                              Staff is very friendly and efficient. Fish and chips were delicious. The crab was really delicious too. Where we were seated, opposite the bar, was quite chilly. Inside main restaurant was really noisy but everyone was having a wonderful time 🎄

                                                              Party of ten, most dishes were very good. Service was excellent, our server was good fun. I’d definitely go again.

                                                              Really great tasty food. Unfortunately due to a storm the awning was up and our table was positioned in blinding sunlight which was uncomfortable but the service and food were top class. The roast chicken is one to travel for.

                                                              Really enjoyable experience. Staff are excellent, very attentive. Atmosphere was lovely and food was very nice. The small plates were particularly good. Good value for money overall. Would recommend.
