Known for fusing fresh Hawaii ingredients with the exotic flavors of Asia, Chef Chai has created a culinary style that reflects the cultural diversity of Oahu and the Hawaiian Islands.

To further strengthen the partnership with Hawaii’s local farmers and fishermen, Chef Chai co-founded Hawaii Island Chefs (HIC), the second generation of Hawaii Regional Cuisine Chefs. This group of HIC chefs is on a mission to provide the world with the best of Hawaii’s diverse culinary resources from the culture of the people and the bounty of the land and sea.

A evening of excellence with very flavorful dishes. We had the early bird special, which was a great deal!! We ordered the salmon, the pork tenderloin, and beef tenderloin. Everyone’s dishes were so tasty and flavorful! The appetizer assortment was fantastic, but my favorite is a toss up between the bisque and the duck tacos. The service was great and overall it was an excellent dining experience with our Ohana.

Great place for a date. The course menu was plentiful and tasty. Service was superb. 10/10 would come again.

It was the first time for many people in my party to dine at Chef Chai and they all enjoyed themselves very much and hoping to return soon. Very friendly and patient staff that checks in with you frequently without interrupting any conversations. Food is delicious and diverse. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the menu items.

This was the perfect spot for a nice family dinner after a micro-wedding. We were looking for a place that would have good food, a fancy ambience to feel festive, but didn’t want to go anywhere too stuffy. The restaurant was very accommodating from the multiple phone calls I made because I had follow up questions about their menu options. I spoke to Dustin (?) everytime and he always answered my questions with patience. I had a party of 11 adults and 2 kiddos so we debated doing a private room ($1,800 spend minimum, but no separate room fee). The kiddos had some chicken tenders and fries. We ended up sitting outside due to someone’s health reasons. It was very hot due to the current weather (and no overhead fans) but the outside lights and setup was very pleasant! It didn't feel exposed to the street or any passerby. Food was really good and did not disappoint. We were going for quantity so we could try as much as possible. The menu is extensive and allowed for different people to even go for the special tasting menus. It was cool that the restaurant was so flexible and everyone could order what they wanted. Service was wonderful. The waitstaff was very friendly and conversational. The sheer coordination of delivering the different courses of the Thai tasting menu with everyone else’s meals was impressive. They knew when to come in and when to come back. Shoutout to Randy for having such a fun and upbeat attitude. Definitely made us all feel more comfortable.

Amazing! My 2 favorite meals annually at Chef Chai's are the lobster buffet and the Chef Chai Special Thai Childhood menu! This time it was the Special Thai Childhood menu...every course was delectable! Also, it is a value meal! Can't beat!
