During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Cheesetique is raising funds for our Community Partner: Alexandria Celebrates Women (ACW). On October 15th, 10% of all restaurant and retail sales go to ACW. Throughout the month, $1 for each bottle sold of select women owned or made wines goes to ACW. Cheesetique is celebrating its 20th Birthday for a full year. We are focused on thanking customers and the wonderful community where we are lucky to operate with celebrations, giveaways, and community give-backs all year long! 100% of any cancelation fees go to ACW.

It had been several years since my husband and I had been to Cheesetique, so we were looking forward to our dinner (we had always had a good experience). I cannot speak to how the drinks or food are since we left before we even ordered, but unfortunately, the service has slipped since we were there last. We were seated outside as soon as we arrived for our reservation so it was nice not to have to wait (especially since they were not packed). Once seated, it was 20 minutes before we were acknowledged - and that was only after my husband went inside to ask for someone to come to our table. When the server arrived, I asked for a glass of prosecco and my husband asked for a "taste" of a wine they did by the glass to determine if we were going to buy a bottle or not. After 15 minutes, I received my prosecco (which was flat) and the server said he did not have my husband's "taste" yet because he had to go to the basement to get the bottle - therefore would be back in a few minutes. At this point, we were both very frustrated so my husband informed the manager we were leaving (and the reason why) but we would pay for my prosecco if they wanted us to - which they did not. After this experience, I can't say that we will go back to Cheesetique, but we love Del Ray so we will continue to visit other restaurants in the area.

Well worth a visit - a neighborhood gem with 20 years of experience in serving a wide variety of well-prepared and presented food. Don’t miss the chocolate mousse.

The food has declined over the years, still good but not “as good”. Wish the charcuterie boards had more selections. My sandwich had too much goat cheese over powering everything else. Curds 100%!

My husband and I drove from out of state to take care of my mother’s affairs and I went on open table to locate a nice restaurant instead of grabbing fast food. I’m so glad we did. The food was delicious. My husband had the braised short rib with mashed potatoes and carrots. I had the chicken pot pie. The young lady who served us was friendly and prompt. We will Come back the next time we’re in town.

Good cheesesteak (if not traditional) and breakfast items. Coffee came out cold the first time.

Good was delicious well prepared. We sat in the back room/wine room which quieter atmosphere. Appreciated being able to experience this restaurant taking advantage of Alexandria Restaurant Week Menu. The waitstaff was great and checked on us regularly. He was very attentive and noticed the person I was dining with handed me a birthday gift. The waiter acknowledged my birthday and offered a chocolate mouse dessert to celebrate. Thank you!

My food was cold and they had to heat it up and it still wasn’t tasty. I had the lasagna and not sure I would recommend it.

The food was great but they could have just reheated the food a bit more. The chicken was a bit dry. It is known for their olives and cheeses however.
