Afternoon tea is quite simply an unforgettable experience here at Cheal’s. We offer a fabulous 2 course afternoon tea served daily. Each course is lovingly prepared by our in-house pastry team, using traditional ingredients. Choose from nine different teas, cocktails or a glass of prosecco or champagne, for a truly memorable occasion. Wednesday - Saturday: 12:30pm – 2:00pm £55 per person Please note that we require at least 48 hours' notice for this booking type. Bookings made with under 48 hours' notice may not be honoured.

A superb evening celebrating a 50th birthday. We sampled the 6 course taster menu. The food was great and we loved the explanations by the serving staff at each course.

Another lovely meal in this beautifully appointed restaurant. The food was truly exceptional and the Espresso Martini soufflé was off the scale amazing! We really like Cheals as it’s great for a special occasion and this visit was as good as always. Our only slight gripe, and it is slight, is that some of the staff seem a bit under trained or a little out of their depth in what is a very high end setting. But that aside, and recognising we all started somewhere, 10/10!

We had an excellent dining experience at Cheal's with my wife, celebrating our wedding anniversary. Everything was just perfect.

My friend and I enjoyed an outstanding lunch today from the a la carte menu but with many lovely additional touches which made for a fantastic dining experience. The pear dessert was unbelievably good and would highly recommend.

Splendid food as always at Cheal's... We chose from the set menu, which is such good value, and had some outstanding tastes, including a marvellous artichoke amuse-bouche, a fabulous game consomme with an astonishing sourdough toast with mushroom parfait, and perfectly cooked hake dish with cauliflower 3 ways. Finishing with a fabulous fig and almond tart with gorgonzola. All in all it was wonderful. The al-a-carte menu seemed very much more pricey than on previous visits which was a slight disappointment, but the set menu did not let us down in any way whatsoever. We have had many memorable meals at Cheal's and this was up to their usual very high standard. The maintenance of quality across the menu and across the years we have been going there is remarkable. Long may it continue and long may the staff team deliver their high quality service. Thanks for a great time...And see you again on the New Year!

The lunch set menu is superb value. Each course is beautifully prepared, carefully balanced in flavour and presented with exquisite attention to detail. Every member of the team is highly professional, yet extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Once again, a wonderful evening, the staff are brilliant, but the food is outstanding. Some spectacularly good flavours in the taster menu.
