Che Fico, is a California Italian restaurant from Chefs David Nayfeld and Matt Brewer in San Francisco's NOPA neighborhood. The food focuses on Italian cuisine through the lens of California. It’s our vision of Northern California as if it is a region in Italy, our connection to the region, and our love for Italian culinary practices. The rustic, market-driven menu features handmade pasta, pizzas, antipasti, housemade salumi, meat, and fish plus dishes from the Jewish-Roman heritage known as “Cucina Ebraica.” The beverage program focuses heavily on both Italian and Californian wines with a cocktail program that utilizes a variety of spirits, amaros, and seasonal ingredients. Che Fico is a place to gather with friends and enjoy warm hospitality, food, and drink, through an approachable menu and convivial ambiance.

    very disappointed. we've heard many good things about this place but the food was mediocre at best and some of it was bad, the lasagna in particular was dry, gooey and didn't taste remotely fresh. the Mafaldine pasta again was dry and pretty bland. Muscles were great but thats about it. We did go the night before Xmas eve but i doubt i would give it another shot at almost $400 for two people. Service was great.

    Such an interesting brunch menu…purple polenta, dried persimmon condiment. Delicious brioche filled with whipped ricotta, candied citrus, orange blossom. We liked it so much we plan to celebrate our joint birthday here in their private room with friends.

    Regardless of whether you eat with your eyes or with your stomach, you won’t be disappointed. My husband and I had dinner here last night and we couldn’t be more thrilled. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous and the food is outstanding in every way. The menu is interesting and innovative. We enjoyed appetizers of Carne Crudo and Insalata Tritata which were absolutely delicious. Our entrees of rockfish and lasagne verde were perfect. We sat at the bar which was lively and festive considering it’s the holiday season. The staff is super friendly and the vibe is lively and fun. A definite must try if you haven’t already!

    This place is buzzing with an awesome vibe that you won’t want to miss. The Focaccia is a taste sensation—the best I’ve ever devoured! And the Pizza? It’s a party in your mouth! For dessert, the Tiramisu and Coconut Lime Sorbet are heavenly and will leave you craving more. I’d give this spot a 10/10 and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun-filled culinary adventure!

    I’ll start by saying it was a pretty busy night for Che Fico however, we were celebrating my mother’s birthday who flew here from Florence, Italy & our experience had much to be desired. The positive takeaway is the taste and quality of the food. On the other hand, the host was unwelcoming and quite frankly, rude. When we asked about an accommodation for our party, the host AND our server were dismissive. The restaurant was loud and this is fine if we weren’t left with the community table that you share with 20 other people. I think that’s an important factor to state when you book a reservation weeks in advance for a very special occasion. I would’ve changed our dinner plans had I known we didn’t have a table to ourselves.

    We had a reservation at 8pm but were not seated until 8:28pm. Had to ask multiple times and the “holding space” in the bar was super crowded. I suggest you manage more effectively - especially since you require a $25 per person deposit. I expect timely service and adherence to reservation times.

    Fantastic dinner to celebrate the holidays last night! Always consistently excellent from the creative cocktails, seasonal specials and divine pastas. Always a winner!
