We chose this restaurant to have dinner at on the first night of our weekend stay in Bloomington. We were sat at a round table near the front window and the place did seem very busy as it was a Friday night. Our server took a very long time to greet us. He seemed like he was in a hurry and he spoke very fast that we never caught his name. We ordered appetizers and half of our drinks and he walked away before we were finished ordering. We had appetizers, salads, and entrees during our visit. This restaurant calls itself "Italian cuisine" and it was far from it. The stuffed mushrooms were very tiny and covered in so much cheese that you couldn't taste anything but cheese. The entrees were not edible. The pizza had so much sauce on it that we couldn't even eat it. The chicken parmesan had no sauce on it and the chicken was so overdone. All pasta dishes are noted to come with house garlic bread. What we received was toasted plain white bread. No garlic or butter was on it at all. There was no flavor and the inconsistency of the dishes was ridiculous. We hardly ever saw our server. He seemed like he was stretched very thin as no other tables around us were in his section and was coming from the other end of the restaurant waiting on tables in the back also. When he finally checked on us and offered boxes for the dishes we hadn't touched we told him no because they were not enjoyable. He was gone for over 30 minutes! This is not an exaggeration either. I stayed at the table while the other guests in my party left the restaurant to walk a few blocks over to get dessert from another business. They then enjoyed those desserts and came back and I was still sitting at the table waiting to be acknowledged by any member of their staff at this point. I asked for a manager twice and no one ever came to our table to address the many many issues we encountered. This was a terrible dining experience and I strongly encourage diners to look anywhere but here.

We have walked past and overlooked this wonderful restaurant for years and were pleasantly surprised this weekend. The food was great and the service friendly and attentive.

Melissa was wonderful. All of the food had to be sent back as it was served cold. Mel had every meal recooked. Steaks were cold and improperly cooked. Even if they had been cooked properly the quality of the steaks were very poor! I am in the food business, and I know you want to keep the food costs down, but for the prices you are charging the value is not there The chain steak houses have better quality of food and taste better and priced right We would only come back if Mel would be our server. She went of her way to make the experience as best as possible!he

We love Che Bello. The food is delicious! So nice to be able to enjoy chef prepared dishes instead of the typical “freezer to table” fare you get at most restaurants. Service is always friendly and quick - and the attention to detail is evident. Pricing is great and this restaurant is very accommodating to any small requests you may have. Highly recommend!

Wanted so much to find an Italian restaurant like the ones you can enjoy in larger cities. Nothing but the food gave us that experience.

Pork chop was fab. Terrific Italian margarita. Spaghetti and meatballs were delish and the soups yummy. Mel was delightful & kind. It was a fun evening out!

Bridget our server was great. The food was fair at best and priced like it was a white table cloth steak house.

While the food and service were nice, especially considering the busy time, I did not feel it was adequately conveyed how different the graduation menu would be from the normal menu, in terms of both price and offerings. My family was looking forward to the pizzas and was very disappointed when they weren’t available, and there were people with dietary restrictions who had very little to choose from on the menu. Had the information about the graduation menu been communicated in advance, my party would have had a greatly enhanced experience and left feeling much better about our meal, whereas now we left feeling much more ambivalent.

We ate here on Saturday evening of Commencement weekend. The menu was very limited, with two entrees we ordered being “sold out”. The food was delivered lukewarm and incorrectly prepared. At this time we were told one of the entrees ( for a total of three)ordered was no longer available. Kitchen seemed totally inadequate, for whatever reason. Very disappointed, especially considering the expense of entrees.
