Chateau-X has quite the story, born out of lockdown, we took a luxurious chateaubriand experience to homes across the UK.

Growing our offering throughout lockdown saw demand for us to increase so much, we knew we couldn't stop when life resumed to the 'new normal'.

That brings us to today, Chateau-X in Finnieston, our first official restaurant, home to our luxurious Chateaubriand experience, for a reasonable price. Not skipping out on quality either as you might know already, we're vocal about being local.

Our mission is simple - bring top quality British sourced meat and produce to our community, with a bit of banter on the side. So, what are you waiting for?

Arrived at booking time. Completely unprepared for us and other groups arriving at same time; for example being seated at tables not made. Presumably not the fault of staff who were working, but being understaffed. Disappointed to see the change in menu from a few months previously, now completely removing the option to choose a steak cut. I really enjoyed the flst iron peviously, but it was sirlon or nothing on this visit. Macaroni cheese now an £8 add-on as well. Choice of wine was not available as a glass (why?!), and recommended alternative transpired to be £13.50 on the bill - £13.50! Worst of all, the size of meat cut was pathetic. Two thin, measly slices. I was genuinely shocked when it was put down in front of me. Overall, really disappointing change in the offering of food since a previous visit only a few months ago, and the value for money seems to have taken a dive. Won't be returning based on this visit sadly, nor recommending to friends and family.

Food arrived before drinks, sirloin was served rare/blue when requested well done, pudding was wrong.

Overall an excellent meal. Ambience was lovely and great decor. Quite a limited choice on menu, but cooked to our requirements. One small issue is that everything seemed a bit rushed, although the place was very busy. I’m sure they wanted tabke back asap.

Food was phenomenal best chateau Briand we have ever eaten. Sides were delicious especially the tobacco onions. Staff were lovely and very attentive. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding food as usual, mine and my partners favourite restaurant to visit for special occasions. This visit was probably our 5th and it honestly never disappoints. The steaks are beautiful but it’s the sides that make it for us. Service is extremely quick but it does not affect the quality.

First time here and definitely not the last. We both really enjoyed our meal excellent value for money too

this was my 1st visit it certainly won’t be my last…food was excellent and certainly value for money when u compare it to other steak places….
