The latest collaboration between Worcester’s own Son Vo of Kaizen and Pho Sure and Tam Le of Pho Linh and Reign Drink Lab, Chashu brings Japanese inspired fare to downtown Worcester. Chashu Ramen + Izakaya takes Japanese dishes and puts a foodie spin on them, generally with good results. It is one of the only places in Worcester that you can get decent ramen. I wish they had a more extensive izakaya menu for those of us who prefer to make a meal of various small plates. Their sushi is good, but could stand to have more variety in types of seafood. Overall the food is very good and we will keep dining here when we want good Japanese food in Worcester.

We had a great experience for the most part. The food was great, especially the apps. We have had the same server twice and really liked her. However, our reservation started at 6pm and at about 7:45pm she came by and told us there was a 2 hour time limit on tables and she was going to have to kick us out soon. We had just ordered dessert and then felt like we had to rush to eat it and get out of there. I could understand saying something if we were done ordering and were just lingering there, but it felt very premature to put that pressure on us to leave after we had ordered a lot of food and drinks. It left us with a bad impression especially as we were there celebrating an engagement. Not sure if this is pressure from management or if the server was pushing it, but either way I feel like it could have been handled better.

I love this place. Great food—my party if 5 all agreed and we had multiple apps, different mains ( all ramen) and two deserts. The coconut bomb was fantastic. Loved our funny and attentive server. Also love the diversity of the clientele . Parking can be a hassle but worth it.

If you like sushi and noodle this is the restaurant for you!!! I would consider this restaurant among the best in Worcester (country for that matter). Atmosphere is 5 stars. So spacious... Server is very cheerful. I will go back soon!!!

This was our first time visiting Chashu and we can not wait to come back! Can not say enough good things about our experience. Everything we ordered was top notch. We ordered 3 different sushi rolls, a sushi app, 2 regular apps, 2 different bao buns, 4 different cocktails, and the ice cream desert. Every single thing that came out was better than the last. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable for the high quality of food. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality sushi and unique dishes and drinks. Can’t wait to go back to try the ramen dishes.
