We have semi-private areas of the restaurant that easily accommodate groups of 15 to 50. All areas of the restaurant have fabulous views of the Monterey Bay! Essen war sehr fein. Leider eher kleine Portionen Bedienung war super. Ist auch auf die Bitte glutenfreies Essen, sehr gut eingegangen. Restaurant hat eine wunderbare Aussicht auf das Meer. Wir konnten Seelöwen beim Spielen beobachten

The experience at the chart house was dramatically different than our experience at Schooners the night before. The service was similar and expemplary. Our waitress Alma did a fantastic job. The shrimp cocktail was excellent and presented much better than schooners was. It was fresh, perfectly cooked and de veined properly. The oysters were excellent being served with horse radish and cocktail sauce and were very well presented and of a larger size then schooners was from the night before. I tried the prime rib, which was cooked perfectly medium rare and was excellent. The accompanied mashed potatoes were great. My wife tried the black squid ink pasta wish shrimp and scallops and that fish was fantastic. The pasta was cooked perfect. I also loved that the executive chef brought out our main courses. It allowed to me to ask if the "black pasta" was indeed squid ink, which it was. Great interaction. For dessert we tried the key lime pie as well as the creme brulee tasting. Both were fantastic. My only regret is we should have come here the day before instead of Schooners. By far way above their competitor. The ambiance inside was excellent. The only negative ( and due to everything else It is now an afterthought) is that the hostess at the main desk is cold, rude and non interactive. From when we better the manner in which she spoke and check our reservation to when we departed she was chatting with another female co workers made eye contact with to us but never said thank you for coming or any type of departing comment. Some training to be redone with her. Overall 10/10. A singular staff for a momentary meeting can leave an impression but the rest was so good I'm sure most drown out her behavior We will be back.

Garett provided outstanding service. We had a great dinner, and he also made my birthday a memorable night. Thank you, Garreth; we will come back.

First, they need to talk to the city of Monterey, The parking meters were very confusing and not counterintuitive. Second The noise level in the restaurant was quite high due to some crying children, and it wasn’t the usual relaxed, soothing music they usually have. Finally, My seafood dinner was very good, but my wife’s prime rib was overcooked.

first time we have had just an ok experience at chart house. felt like a chain restaurant for the first time. slow is being seated for our reservation away from a window table. my wife did not care for your clam chowder (more celery than clams). chopped salad replacement just ok- nothing special. my swordfish was dry despite ordering mango salsa. old fashion cocktial average. my wine was fine tho the waitress said it was j. lohr as she served it instead of the critic which i ordered (she corrected herself when i mentioned this). dessert was very good (molten chocolate cake). will be awhile before we return.

There were 4 of us and two of us had issues with the food. The other two guests enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Blackened Mahi and it had no flavor. My son had the Teriyaki Steak and baked potato and it was also not good. This is the 2nd time that we were disappointed. Deciding whether to go back to this restaurant. I've had good experiences at other Chart House restaurants.

Servers were great but the hostess was very rude. We were sat at the only table that had direct sun, which made it uncomfortably warm. When asked if we could switch to one of the dozens of empty tables we were given attitude. Not what you’d expect from any restaurant at any price point. The servers were nice, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive.

Our view was awesome. It is the one reason we would come back, but we will be taking another break from Chart House. We haven’t been in a few years after many disappointments. The server didn’t know the food. We were a party of 6 - one is gluten free, one has a particular allergy. She gave us answers but came back 2 or 3 times to correct what she had told us. We got thru that but when the food came we were all disappointed. All 4 steaks, ordered medium rare, were over cooked. Sauce on the fish was very salty. IMO if salt is what you notice first or most, it’s not a good chef. I find it terribly sad that this beautiful restaurant can’t get its act together.

We had quite a wait even though we had a reservation. Our table was close to the hotel building limited view. We saw people with no reservation get seated at similar tables as we were, so not sure really what the plan was. The restaurant was crowded and seemed under staffed for a Saturday night. Food was average. Chart use to our favorite , but tonight was a bit disappointing.

We had some hiccups with our order and the menu not mentioning things that would come with our food that we did not want. Our server was kind and helpful but we were a bit bummed.
