Now serving an all-day menu and new daytime cocktails created by partners, BVHospitality (Bon Vivants, Trick Dog) featuring the vibrant flavors, original combinations, and unique bitters and syrups for which they are known.

HOTEL GUESTS: please call 415-735-7777 for reservations. In order to make a reservation in Charmaine's, a non-refundable $5 reservation fee per person will apply. This fee guarantee's seating space. In case of cancellation or no-show, the fee will not be refunded. Walk-ins are welcome any time but will be based on availability. We have been challenged with last-minute cancellations and no-shows, as our reservations appear more limited than they are in actuality. Our goal is an accurate depiction of our availability to allow our staff to better accommodate you. Please note on Friday & Saturday night (5pm - Close), reservations of 3 or more, a minimum food & beverage spend of $50 per person is required. We look forward to welcoming you!

Join us for the return of Sunday afternoons spent on San Francisco's sexiest rooftop bar, Charmaine’s. We are thrilled to offer Paella & Rosé day! Indulge in a Mediterranean inspired Sunday afternoon beginning at 11 am! We will offer paella cooked over fire by our Chefs to pair with rosé from our versatile list until 2:30 pm. Admission is $30 (excluding tax and fees) per person and will include unlimited Paella. All seatings will be limited to a 2-hour duration and for groups of 8 or more, we cannot guarantee seating together. Please note that your $30 purchase does not include Rosé. The main reason why this was bad was because of the Valet Parking. As you pull up, the valet asks you if you are coming to Charmaine. Once they determine you are, they send you to park 7 minutes away and walk back through the tenderloin ( the worse neighborhood in San Francisco). I specifically drone because the hotel is located in a bad part of town and I was so disappointed with this approach. Secondly, the mock-tails are WAY overpriced. 20 dollars for a Mocktail is ridiculous. Not knowing we ordered 3. This is Terrible.

Great music, great views! We had some happy hour apps and few drinks. Very chilly, but the fire pits and blankets keep you nice and warm :)

The paella was fantastic and it's a great setting. I would personally suggest maybe planting a few trees that would give at least filtered shade although my husband thinks a retractable sunbrella would be better. I tried two of the Rose wines and they were both fantastic. Love the whole concept. The Chef was very engaging and obviously the location is wonderful.

Celebrated my birthday here and I have to say I was a little skeptical at first because of the mixed reviews. The hostess was lovely, saved us the best spot outside (I requested), views were unmatched! They were very responsive via OpenTable but couldn’t reach them via phone at all. Our party came a little late but they were considerate about it. The drinks were yum but not all. We tried a lot of cocktails. They provided us with blankets and thought it was such a nice touch. Small bites were good. But make sure to check your receipt very well before you pay! Overall, we had a great time and would come back again!!

Second time at Charmaine’s. First time just at the bar/lounge. This time we were guests at the Proper. Sketchy area for sure, but hotel is safe. Great view. Will definitely go again.
