Great sugar fuelled afternoon for my nephews 7th Birthday. Great service and the food was good - what was missing was some Wonka music, or someone walking around dressed up as Wonka doing magic tricks or something. My nephew loved the dry ice mocktail and the candyfloss - be good to have a more adult version of the cakes - great for kids but felt a little too indulgent eating candyfloss. Great for something different to do.

The food was fantastic and tasty and wonderfully delicious. We were also offered more savoury food before moving on to the sweet selection, which I have to say, was delightfully delicious too. On a personal note, I wish there had been more of a theatrical atmosphere with more decoration though as it would have made it that little bit more special. The staff were very smart, attentive and very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. My only grievance was the fact that they included a 15% service charge which, because we were in a rush, paid without checking if it was discretionary or not. After already paying £75.00 per head we thought this was expensive.

The afternoon tea was incredible! From the AMAZING greeter to the food, drink and service. It was all just absolutely fantastic. Special mention to Adam who greeted us because he was brilliant! Would highly recommend!

Visited for my nieces birthday, entrance down to the Aldwych was really fun good for getting fun photos, the member of staff was so welcoming and happy , the staff were amazing but unfortunately I don’t think it was worth the money, the seating area was like it needed a bit of tlc it looked dated and tired, the sandwiches were ok, hot chocolate was slightly warm and the sweet treats were average, also adding on a service charge of £25 was a bit steep considering the 2 afternoon teas came to £176 so total was nearly £200 , I have been here on two other occasions over the years and it was fantastic but this time was disappointing.

Just wouldn’t recommend, service was great minus them forgetting to bring something but we’re only human, host was a character and really good at his job! sandwiches were a mix of fresh and starting to go stale. Not the best fillings but that’s personal choice. Had some cocktails and whilst beautifully poured they were very small for the price. Very over priced for what was offered. Expected more of an experience but was just another afternoon tea.

Our family of 4 enjoyed afternoon tea at the themed Charlie & the Chocolate Factory at One Aldwych. The decor was lovely, we loved trying the different teas, and the kid friendly food was quite tasty. Highly recommended with or without kids!

Absolutely incredible food and the service felt so personal.no waiting around for drinks or food .truly magical for kids .i took my wife for her 50th little treat and was blown away .
