This is such a lovely, relaxing (if high calorie) event. The treats are delicious, the staff is superb, and they take excellent care of allergy concerns, particularly coeliac. Couldn’t be more satisfied.

We had a really wonderful time. The food was great and my 8 year old niece absolutely loved it. Staff were really lovely and friendly and made my niece feel very special. My only minor point would be that we did have to wait a little while to be served initially and to have top-ups. But I highly recommend!

Wonderful and eclectic experience. Food standards as good as other premium afternoon tea venues, but so whimsical and delightful I left smiling. The last time I remember such food related fun was at the Fat Duck. There wasn’t a dud amongst the food, plentiful supply of every course and an engaged and pleasant front of house and waiting staff.

My daughter and I treated ourselves to the Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea Expectations were high and it lived up to it. From the moment we were greeted at the door to the moment we left, the service was exceptional. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients. We’re both vegetarian and the waiter explained that all the cake treats were suitable as the jellies did not contain animal gelatine products. The food was delicious, fresh and displayed beautifully. You didn’t feel overwhelmed by the amount as it was served in three courses not all together as in a traditional afternoon tea. You can ult also have second helpings of any of the courses. We had extra sandwiches as they were lovely. The restaurant entrance is fun and a great photo opportunity and downstairs in the actual restaurant is tasteful themed. We absolutely loved it and would recommend for a special treat

Very nice experience except for the table we were first assigned to. It was a table for 2 and we were 3. There were lots of other tables free and other parties of 3 were better seated so it was all sorted out after I made a remark but it should not have happened in the first place especially as one of us was in a wheelchair. They refill the sandwiches once so that was nice

Massively overpriced for what was delivered. Also waiters kept pushing bottled water on us - we said no 3 times until eventually we relented only to find we were charged £7 for the bottle. Having already paid £70 each for two adults and £50 for one child this move seemed very devious. Also the decoration was a massive let down - there was almost no theme to the room bar the food. Would not do it again. Classic London rip off.

The entrance had amazing theming, the food itself was great as was the friendly service by all staff members who were amazing. There has been a lot of effort put into the menu by the chefs and they proudly showcase the offering on the menus when you arrive. Unfortunately, once you’re past the entrance theming, there was nothing once you head downstairs to the dining space to make it feel special or themed to the activity at all - instead the space was more like a standard hotel space with ordinary seating/tables, which are relatively dimly lit possibly to hide this. It’s a real shame as this could be easily fixed even with just lighting to provide an uplifted experience which would be better suited to the price paid. One tip - instead of paying the optional service charge, ask for this to be removed and leave cash instead to tip the staff who are excellent.
