    Suggestions: Overall very good, would have preferred the dining area, not the bar area, not to be close to the entrance and bar, and asked for it, but it seemed that the other areas were closed off at that time, not a real choice … Service was excellent, meat slightly overcooked. Wine list: limited choice of Italian wines by the glass. In any case, had a great time, enjoyed it very much

    We celebrated our 56th Anniversary. (Drove from Ancaster.) Dining experience was excellent ! Christopher was an outstanding server, the atmosphere was relatively quiet and the food was excellent ! Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and very flavourful. The complimentary dessert was enjoyable and much appreciated. The overall evening was one to be remembered ! Thank you Christopher for helping to make our anniversary one to remember ! We certainly plan another visit.

    The Charcoal Steakhouse is a Kitchener landmark. My first visit was almost 40 years ago. I celebrated my first wedding anniversary at the Charcoal. I moved out of the area so I hadn’t been in sometime. Being in the restaurant brought back memories of all the good times and meals I had. We decided to go for my son’s birthday and it was a wonderful celebration. The food was delicious, our server was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great. This is the way a restaurant should be run. We enjoyed everything about our meal and will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend The Charcoal Steakhouse.

    Our server (Vanessa) was fabulous! She went above and beyond to make our dinner feel special and for us to be taken care of! She is someone you definitely want to ask for when booking your reservation.

    The Shanghai Beef Bowl was delicious. Generous portion made for tasty leftovers. Covered patio was great on a hot day.

    Have been to Charcoal Steak House after a very long time again. The place is still an occasion and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the Tuna Poke Tartare and The Crown Tenderloin. The Tenderloin was not the most tender I ever had, everything else was very good indeed. The meals had more finesse to it than say in The Keg. The ambience is by some measure more of an occasion as well.

    We can always count on a great meal and experience that doesn’t disappoint. We sat on the outdoor patio surrounded by beautiful hanging baskets. Our server was absolutely lovely and very accommodating as we celebrated my husband’s 74 birthday. We look forward to our next visit.

    Food is always good at Charcoal. So is the service. But this time, the Escargot was more about the thick cheese than the actual food. Acres of it. Is that the new trend? I won't order it again. For the rest, very good.
