Northwest Chef and Edmonds native Jake Wilson brings his signature care for cuisine and jovial grin to Main Street in Downtown Edmonds. At the heart of the kitchen is a charcoal fired grill, inspired by the Argentinian Santa Maria style, and custom built to serve the finest bounties of the Pacific Northwest. Located in the Graphite Art Center building on 2nd and Main, Charcoal is where food and art come to meet.

Impressive ambiance. Wait staff was quick and attentive. The best part was the food. The toasted cauliflower was yummy. My Mushroom Tagliatelle was Amazing ! My husband’s SmashBurger was exceptional, best burger he’s ever eaten.

Enjoyed the ambiance. Great wait staff. Excellent steak salad and beets if you like that kind of stuff. We will be back.

We met friends for dinner. The wait person was very good and knowledgeable about items on the menu. The cocktails were excellent and so was the dinner. We all liked our meals. My friend exclaimed a couple time what a fabulous place Charcoal is and how delicious her meal was.

Service was better than expected for this type of restaurant, on par with service received at much more expensive restaurants. Food was very good, creative and well prepared.

This was a great find! We wanted something hood and new and this place popped up. It was easy to find and had parking which is great on a Saturday night in Edmonds. We had perused the menu online and liked the options. Had the pickled vegetables and cauliflower for starters. Both of them were delicious. Loved the white bean mash with the cauliflower. We both had the smaller steak for dinner and it was awesome. Cooked medium rare just like we like it. The green beans were delicious and so was the horseradish sauce. The duck fat butter on the steak was French's kiss. Dessert was ok. Olive oil chocolate cake was a little dry. We were disappointed thru took the cheese plate off the menu. Were looking forward to that for dessert. Maybe update your website. I took off points because it took forever to get our waitress's attention to get a drink refill. And it was cold. A nearly constant flow of very cold air on our head and shoulders was very uncomfortable.

The food was absolutely delicious and visually appealing. Our table had the duck, tagliatelle and scallops, in addition to the cauliflower and burrata appetizers. The colors popped off the plate, which is fun because the location is attached to an art gallery and studio space. Culinary artistry at the table, for sure. The desserts were equally delish!
