Loved the pesto pasta with shrimp special! The Caesar salad was fresh, and the garlic bread was right out of the oven and very tasty. My girlfriend had the broiled cod with a baked potato and spinach and said it was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the drinks from the bar were also good. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Mystic.

My husband and I went in the afternoon with our twin four year olds who have severe nut allergies (anaphylactic). The bartender was our server and was absolutely amazing. VERY allergy friendly, we had the best dining out experience we’ve had in at least a year and I wish we lived closer! We will definitely be back.

We so wanted to like this restaurant, but we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. Atmosphere was fine - but it is really just a bar. All hi-top tables. Our waitress was lovely and the service was fine- although our appetizers were served prior to our cocktails. There wasn’t anybody else dining in the restaurant so we figured that’s why the food was coming out so quickly. Perhaps we ordered the wrong food - and should’ve stuck to bar food - like burger and nachos- but we were hungry and wanted a nice dinner. Here we go: ONION SOUP: lots of onions, not so much broth, a ton of croutons and some cheese- it just was mushy! CAPRESE SALAD: told us they were out of basil but we still ordered- tomatoes were mealy and the mozz pastey. I should have sent back because I do not think the mozz was fresh. BOLOGNESE: yikes. maybe had 3 bites and could do no more. Tasted - fake? FILET MIGNON at $40 - HUGE NO! Looked gray with char stripes across meat. Mashed potatoes were glossy and literally glue/paste like. Broccoli- was gritty- liked sand in it? SIDE OF ASPARAGUS: color off /yellow green and mushy on both ends- should have sent back! We told waitress about the vegetables and she was apologetic. But my bill with 2 cocktails - was $163 plus tip - the worst $193 ever spent!!! VERY disappointing experience for us. Hoping it was an off night for them cause they are in a prime location. But seriously - horrible food experience for us.

So many better options in Mystic... Where to start... I asked for an Anejo Tequila on the rocks. Our server didn't know what they had at the bar which is understandable... she checked and poured a Reposado and charged me more for an Anejo. She asked us "are we ready to order?" No talking over specials or anything. Just are you ready to order. My girlfriend's steak was bloody raw (asked for Medium), the shrimp were overcooked and tough, while the broccoli was greyish green. She asked if she could have her steak medium. The server apologized and returned with a burnt, not charred steak. I ordered a seared YellowFin Tuna. It was rubbery and tough sitting on a bed of mushy vegetables. We did not complain at all, despite being served this overpriced, awful meal. They apologized to us, noting we barely ate our food, taking off her one glass of wine. The wine was fine, yet the steak was terrible. I still tipped 15%. Normally would tip 25-30%. Avoid this place.
