Food and service was outstanding. Food is a little pricey, but all is prepared fresh and was delicious. We would go back!

Solid! No notes, other than it’s not very vegetarian friendly. Good service, fresh food, and modern ambiance. Clean and comfy too. Kind of in an odd location, but worth a visit.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted right away with a smile. Then we went to the bar to have drinks first but our table was ready right on time. Friendly staff, very enjoyable service there and throughout the entire evening!! What a pleasure these days. We had appetizers first which consisted of the calamari, shrimp, fresh baked bread and meatballs all were excellent. For dinner we enjoyed filet mignon and other steaks that were all cooked to perfection. Will definitely return. 5 stars Kudos!! Btw, the restaurant is really pretty inside trendy beautiful.

Exceptional food and service. The duck breast was perfection. Best meal I’ve had in the Greater New Haven area, bar none! Foodies will love it!

From the hostess to the chef and everyone in between a great experience. Started with the $55 seafood tower, oysters and clams were fresh and delicious, shrimp was so so, star is the seafood salad, just wish they gave you more. My bucatini bolognese and clams and linguine were absolutely fantastic. A shout out to the bartender, nice vodka martini just wish you were a little more generous with the stuffed olives. Highly recommended.

We visited Chaplin last night which is one of our favorite local go-to restaurants. The shrimp appetizer was delicious as was the duck and Salmon entrees. The service was very good. Overall a nice night out.

We made a reservation for Chaplin for our 10th Anniversary, having been there before we were aware of the set up (high tops, dining room, patio). On OpenTable, the options were restaurant, high tops, patio. We selected restaurant thinking it was safe to assume that meant dining room. Upon checking in for my reservation we were told no that we had not reserved the dining room. I’m sorry but by comparison to the other two options what do I select to reserve dining room? I expressed that we were celebrating our anniversary, the hostess could have cared less and treated us no differently than the other couple that was next too us without a reservation and offered us only the high top or patio. We did not want a high top and decided to try the patio begrudgingly, but as she walked us to the patio we walked right past an open dining room table for two. I asked why we could not sit there and she said because there is a reservation to which I reminded her I had made a reservation for the dining room. We sat at the table on the patio and a short minute later a couple that had walked in after us was seated at the dining room table. This restaurant either needs to make their reservation system clearer or be more accommodating to their clientele. After feeling continuous rain drops hitting us and not being much in the mood to give them our business anymore we decided to leave. Upon reflection I was disappointed looking around that people were dressed so sloppy, it was a nicer somewhat upscale restaurant when it first opened and has since gone downhill along with its service and respect towards customers. The manager did reach out shortly after we left, but I have no desire to give them my business anymore.
