I’m not quite sure how this funky Ocean Beach/Point Loma spot earned the title of “The Most Romantic Restaurant in the U.S.” Maybe it was as simple as placing those iconic $70 Deruta pottery rooster pitchers on every table. The pasta was fresh, and the service was fine, but the tableside tiramisu didn’t stand out. As for the ambiance, the music did little to inspire romance. Perhaps a playlist featuring Morrone, Nek, Michelin, Zucchetto, Ramazzotti, and, of course, the romantic ballads of Bocelli could help set the mood.

The boys in my group loved their Bolognese pasta. Girls had the Vegan Nuova Funghi, tasty but super rich! Wish it was so rich tasting for it is hard to finish. Our waitress was very attentive. We also ordered sides of garlic.🧄

We do not eat much pasta. Never can find any that we really like. This place has everything going on from the appetizer to the pasta and the desserts. This will be the only place we eat pasta at again. They are so much better than places in little Italy. Best octopus we ever had. They get 5 stars from us.

Everything was AMAZING! Best food, GREAT WAITER RYAN, atmosphere. Octopus appetizer 10 out of 10. Mushroom pasta with sausage 10 out of 10. Free bread 10 out of 10, pasta with short ribs and sausage 10 out of 10! Easily favorite Italian place from now on!

The food was as always amazing. One of the best Italian food we had. Service was slow at the beginning, but both waiters were very nice . Overall great food and great place to have lunch or dinner at any time!

Loved the ambiance and delicious food here - the emphasis and offering of vegan menu items made us love it even more. The mushroom pasta was incredible, and the focaccia bread to start was delicious! The beautiful feather lamps and jars of vegetables up the wall, as well as the chef making homemade ravioli right in front of us made this a beautiful experience. The only thing I would recommend is switching all chairs inside to the comfy cushioned ones instead of some being harder (plastic/wood/metal). Thank you for the amazing time!
