Four of us celebrated my husband's birthday with a surprise dinner at Cesarina. It was definitely worth the schlep out to Ocean Beach from downtown, because everything was amazing. Beginning with the service, we were greeted and made to feel welcome. The restaurant was packed (reservations are highly recommended), and we were seated in a cozy spot on the patio. Our server explained the menu and some options and recommendations, which was helpful. We ordered starters including the soup de jour, an octopus dish and a salad and all were delicious, and abundant. We followed that with each of us trying a different main including the ravioli, lasagna, a seafood pasta and a meatball dish ..... all were five stars, however the ravioli seemed to come out on top. Their pastas are made fresh daily in house and it makes such a difference. So tasty and cooked just right. We finished with deserts including ice creams and canoelis, all perfectly sized to finish off the evening. They served the hubby a special dessert with a candle and then took a photo of the table celebration. All-in-all, it was a perfect choice and we will be back. Cesarina is a Bib Gourmand restaurant with the Michelin folk, but I think they are close to a star.

Hands down the best plate of pasta I’ve had in San Diego. Super cute place, exceptional service, excellent wine selection, and fabulous desserts. If an asteroid heads towards earth, I’m going here twice a day till I die of complications related to overeating

Overall, it was outstanding from the Octopus Appetizer to main courses, all the foods we ordered tasted like the food we had we visited Italy. The Fettucine w/ Funghi and topped w/ Guanchale was excellent and we all had to share it. We liked it so much that I booked a dinner reservation for my birthday in a few weeks. We look forward in coming back. We found the Italian Restaurant that all members of my family like. Marked it as one of our favorite spot. Thanks for the good food and service. 👏👏🙂

This was our first time here. I think patio seating is better than indoor. It was our 3 year wedding anniversary. They gave us ice cream on the house which was delicious. Their tiramisu was amazing.

Great waiter and food was lovely. Definitely would recommend but hard to get reservations for inside. They sat us within 5 minutes of arriving with little waiting outside. Parking is tight but well worth the quality food and service they offer.
