Le Centrolina est un restaurant italien doté d'une épicerie, détenu et géré localement par le chef Amy Brandwein, situé dans le nouveau bâtiment du CityCenterDC à Washington. L'Osteria sert un menu de saison qui change tous les jours composé de plats italiens authentiques et innovants proposés chaque jour pour le dîner et le souper. Le menu du chef Brandwein est inspiré des produits italiens régionaux et saisonniers et de la grande variété de produits que le chef sélectionne dans l'épicerie voisine. L'épicerie compte un choix de spécialités italiennes importées ainsi que de la viande d'origine locale, du poisson issu de la pêche durable, ainsi que des produits provenant de fermes locales. Le Centrolina prépare chaque jour des pâtes et des sauces fraîches et artisanales, des antipasti et des plats de résistance à emporter. La boulangerie du Centrolina dispose d'une gamme de biscotti, crostata et gâteaux qui changent chaque jour. Vous y dégusterez aussi du pain d'origine locale confectionné au Bread Furst et bénéficierez d'un bar Barista à service complet servant du café Vigilante.

Experience Chef Amy Brandwein's new 6-course dinner tasting menu with optional wine pairing in Centrolina's private Chef's Salon. Chef Amy's menu celebrates her mantra “simple is exquisite," showcasing the seasonal bounty of the Mid-Atlantic region and the versatility, grace, and overall delicacy of Italian cuisine. Each dish weaves Italian and global cuisine, creating an interesting dialogue of food and wine inspired by specific ingredients, concepts, and experiences. The tasting menu changes weekly and is available on Thursday and Friday. Limited seating available. Dinner is $175/person with an optional wine pairing for $125/person.

Great appetizers, but the place seems to have slipped overall. Appetizers were delicious, but the pasta was seriously over salted which undermined the experience . Worse , the entree arrived at the same time as the pasta course. We sent it back , but when it was brought again , it clearly had not been freshly prepared and sat under the heat lamps, which basically killed the taste and texture. They comped us a single glass of wine to make up for this , but then the bill had a 5% up charge in the total , which was specifically noted nit to be considered as part of the tip . Caveat Emptor !

Service was good. But the food was just NOT good at all. Very salty, and lacked any type of flavor. I just tasted salt and seafood. Same with my wife's dinner.

Quiet lunch with excellent service! The bread and the soup were amazing. I had a pasta that was very good, but it felt slightly undercooked. The noodles needed a tiny bit longer - but having said that, the flavors were on point. There was an attached grocery store in the corner with some really good options. Note that there is a 5% service charge on top of the bill.

The food was good but not great. The drinks were surprisingly weak. I had heard such good things but wouldn’t go back.

Food was top notch. Service could have been better. Long times in between meal and check and nothing was coursed. Regular water poured into sparkling water glass.

Our dinner on February 11 was excellent - escarole salad and sea bream crudo, and bucatini and squab breast. All the staff, from the host on down, were cordial and helpful, and our server, Adriana was delightful. We look forward to joining you again in the near future.

One of the main reasons that I chose Centrolina was because of their menu (on their website). This menu shows a number of really good vegetarian options, and two of the people in our party of five were vegetarians. When we got there the menu had no vegetarian appetizers except bread, and they had one off-menu vegetarian pasta. I understand that they print a menu each day depending on what is available and fresh, but if they are going to put a vegetarian-friendly menu online, that should be available every evening. Beyond that, the food was fine - the appetizers were good, the entrees other than mine were just okay; and while our server was knowledgeable and efficient, she was a bit brusque. Bottom line, at the end of the evening, we all said we would not return.

When we go out to eat, we like to order things we might not eat at home or usually have in restaurants. The black cod was good and very different. The baby clam appetizer was also delicious. However, they struggled with my cocktail as they were out of the one I ordered off their specialty menu(?) and the one I did eventually order after a long wait was almost all ice. Dessert was on the house, which was very nice, but the wait for the check was really long. They were busy, but wouldn't that mean they'd want to turn the table? Overall, I don't think I'd go back for dinner. It wasn't that special and the service left us cold.

Excellent food but service is even better. Pasta with mushrooms and pear was best bite. Toothsome excellent pastas
