Food was good. Service not good. Had an 8:00 reservation was sat at 8:30. Waited a very long time to be approached after being seated. Took forever to get our drinks. Food came out sporadically, not all entrees at once. No waiter assist, sat with dirty dishes in front of us for an extended period of time. Server was sitting down at another table while we waited to pay our check. Had to get up to bring it to him so we could pay and leave. Found out then that they included a 20% gratuity in the check. Obviously, the waiter didn’t care at all about our experience. He was getting tipped anyway. No manager on the floor making sure the servers were doing their job. Overall very disappointed. Supposed to be a high end steak house and charging prices as such, but the service was absolutely terrible! Tried to let management know, but he just made excuses. He was obviously not doing his job. Will not waste our money going there again. Big mistake including the tip in the price with no management, waiters didn’t care about our experience at all.

Classy restaurant. Outstanding service. Not steak eaters so I had the 1/2 chicken which was delicious and came with lots of potatoes, carrots and onions. My wife had the scallops which were good but way to spicy. Menu should mention the spice issue. Lastly, the tiramisu was out of this world ! Remember, while they do have a few other menu items, Cellaio features steak.

I have frequented this Steakhouse at the Catskill Resort World Casino. It is a bit overpriced for the portions of food you get. If you have a reservation, you oftentimes have to still wait for tables to clear. Wait staff is attentive and eager to please. Overall a rating of 4. It is a nice getaway with good food.

Upon entering the restaurant the lack of “atmosphere” was evident. A big cold space (literally cold, weather unseasonably cold air conditioner blasting). The space is not the warm I citing steak house vibe but rather big open space with some booths but mostly square tables. The service was good, server was well versed on menu items and was attentive. The bread served with oil and balsamic was boring so we were a bit worried. No need. The food was excellent. Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly. The sides were outstanding as was the pasta of the day which we had as a side (full size though, they don’t do smaller portions). It was odd that they brought white wine glasses with a fine red wine. When mentioned the server brought bigger glasses but not red wine glasses as they don’t have any? Overall it was a great meal it would be nice if the atmosphere were more conducive.

Service was not good and did not realize until the check was presented that 20 percent tip was automatically applied to the check. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and had to rely on other wait staff. Will never return and never recommend to anyone. Far below Resorts normal dining experience.

Fantastic experience at Cellaio— wonderful staff, food was superb. Excellent wine pairings. Highly recommend their pasta special, spicy rigatoni vodka. The steak and their signature sauce was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and flavorful. My dad had the Thursday special— zuppa di pesce and it was phenomenal. We split desserts and each was more fantastic than the last. Special mention to the mascarpone cheesecake and tiramisu affogato. Make your reservation here and you won’t regret it.
