Be welcomed with hors d'oeuvres before dinner where a feast of our Alta Bakery's bread, seasonal shared plates, a duo of proteins and complimenting sides are enjoyed. This experience mimics a 3-course meal, finishing with desserts inspired from our award-winning bakery. From the moment you walk through the door, the atmosphere speaks of timeless elegance, with cozy lighting and a menu that promises to deliver both comfort and culinary innovation. The dessert, a chocolate hazelnut mousse, was the perfect ending to the meal. Silky and smooth, the mousse had a rich, decadent flavor that didn’t feel overly heavy, with a delightful crunch from the crushed hazelnuts on top. Highly recommended for those looking to enjoy fine dining in a historic atmosphere.

The Valentine's Day experience was disappointing due to poor service, racial disparities in treatment, and inattentive staff. Despite the food being excellent, the lack of acknowledgment for mistakes, such as spilled wine, and a mandatory $90 tip added to the bill, left a bad impression. The overall experience fell far below expectations, and the restaurant needs to address its service and fairness issues.

It may be that it was Valentine's day but the service and attentiveness was below what we have experienced in the past.

All courses were delicious. Definitely a place for special occasions. Very pricey. A nice looking bar.

The power unexpectedly went out during dinner service and everybody handled it great by putting out candles and little battery powered lights, and we all just kept eating.

Cella is a great restarant, with excellent food and wine offerings. We caught it on an off-night (Tuesday) where they had two very large groups that really increased the noise level. It appeared to be work functions; not sure if they were related. Anyway, we were seated across from the larger one. So, it was hard to hear each other and the service wasn't as prompt and crisp as normal. Food was still excellent. I had beef cheeks, which were great and a nice portion. It came with potatoes puree and roasted broccolini. My wife I order Diver scallops. Normally, these are quite large and four of them are plenty. This time, they were quite small and they only came with a very small portion of brussell sprout leaves. Overall, it was just OK, but I do think this wasmore of a one off and we will most likely come here again on our next triip to Monterey.

Everything from the signature cocktails through the appetizers, soup, main and dessert were outstanding. If they have the panna cotta get it, so different and so very good. And the service from the host to the outstanding waiter Alysia was perfect. Doesn’t get much better than this!
