I understand a Friday night is a busy night, so food and service can be slower, but in this case it was just bad service. We had to wait 10 min for our booked table (which okay is not terrible), but it was particularly annoying because it then took so long before we could get anyone to come to us, even for tap water. Our waiter appeared finally, clearly pressed for time, we managed to quickly order. Our cocktails ended up arriving after our starters, and still no sign of table water until we flagged down the waiter once more for it. I know I'm sounding snobbish, but at 60 pounds a head I expect SUPERB service. We weren't checked back on even once the whole meal, and had someone join us at the table towards the end, and they weren't offered a drink or anything at all. The service can be summed up in "they took our order, delivered our food and took our payment", which is one step above a McDonalds, where you order the food yourself (and honestly I would have preferred it that way). Again, we could have called up a waiter, perhaps yanked them by the arm and not letting go as they run past, flailing around trying to cater to many tables more than they can handle each. We figured it would have taken 30 minutes to get any second drinks so we gave up and settled the bill. Super mid. On top of that, the food was not great, and I know that's personal, but pasta was overcooked, and at 26 pounds for a plate of pasta, I expect the best pasta of my life. The place is cool inside and has good atmosphere, but it is very loud. Yes I know, I'm outraging the management right now because they can't do much about the noise, but it doesn't make it any less real.
