I’ve been to many of the Cecconi’s and would rate this the worst of them all, Miami being the best. My eldest daughter and I went for dinner to celebrate my impending birthday. After being seated we waiting long enough to be served before having to call the waitress over to at the very least, place a drinks order.
Our drinks sat on the side of the bar whilst we watched our female waitress attend to too many tables, but saw her colleagues chatting away.
The dried bread offering was embarrassing.. again not the usual standard of Cecconi’s.
I ordered aubergine parmigiana to start which arrived in a dish of which was in the majority passata/ tomato base. The one piece of aubergine hidden and the cheese most definitely had been forgotten..it was lukewarm but I was so hungry I ate without complaint. My daughter had calamari which whilst it was a better option than mine, it was also served lukewarm.
I ordered salmon with broccoli on the side. This was a very sorrowful piece of salmon, again arriving lukewarm. The accompanying broccoli was even sadder but actually arriving cold to the point when I spoke with the manager regarding this poor meal,I picked up the piece of broccoli and placed onto her hand to show that I was not exaggerating in how chilled it actually was!
My daughter’s pasta was very nice, the bolognese rich tasting, but again served lukewarm. It was all in all a very poor meal and most definitely not Cecconis usual standards. The manager did take my food off the bill, which was gratefully received, however the entire meal was ruined and we left very disappointed.

I’m writing to sincerely apologise for the negative experience you and your daughter had when you came to Cecconi’s last Saturday.
It’s embarrassing to say the least, that sadly we could not deliver the standards we have proudly set ourselves.
