In support of the regulations issued by the city of New York, Cecconi’s Dumbo is now open for outdoor seating until 11pm.

Cecconi’s Dumbo is a modern day classic Italian restaurant near Brooklyn Bridge park, specializing in hand-made pasta, wood-fired pizza and other Italian staples. Originating in Venice and with outposts in London and West Hollywood, Cecconi’s has become a critically acclaimed dining destination featuring simply prepared Venetian inspired food.

We had a reservation and still had to wait nearly 30 minutes to be called back. From there waiting another 10 minutes before being seated. Our server barely spoke to our table, never introduced himself, and did not check in with us throughout our meal. Poor service made the meal unenjoyable and we did not want to stay for dessert.

Food was fantastic. Service same. Nice table outside with spectacular views. Noisy outside with trains, highway, helicopters and boats.

Our group had a great time at Cecconi’s Dumbo. We enjoyed sharing appetizers, pastas, and nice wine selections. The room was beautiful, and the nighttime views were extraordinary.

This is the second time I have been greeted by a blasé hosting staff with zero interest in customer experience. Although the waiter was quite attentive and knowledgeable, the back room pulled a bait and switch on my second bottle of wine (also prices are 4x list). The copious amount of truffles and truffle oil smell made me suspicious these were not legit truffles but I may be wrong on that. The food is very good. The view is very good. But for the prices you pay, you shdnt have to be orphaned at the entry way, bait and switched on wine, and doubtful of the quality of the truffles (shd be sliced in front of you)

Service was intermittent and often had to be sought out. Very cold staff. two of the four dishes were cold on arrival and one very mediocre. one of the entrees was exceptionately good. the setting is wonderful. the food is not worth the price you pay
