Waiter came took our order said they would bring us bread and olives nothing arrived then there was issues with the card machine was embarrassing it kept declining till the file actually said it’s our card machines sat about waiting for the card machine to work. The food was amazing though can’t fault that just the service let it down.

Service was good and friendly. The morning menu was very limited and boring. I ordered toast with avocado and tomato. The end of the bread were served as toast-the smallest pieces ever which were dry and cold. Two side plates with a mountain of avocado which was 5 times too much and another side plate with one tomato sliced in half and burnt-which cost £4! Very expensive overall and not at all worth it!

I had a fairly disappointing experience at this restaurant, sadly! I went for a celebratory lunch with my auntie, and we were lucky that the weather was gorgeous 25 degrees, which is great for this time of year, when we have suffered with a lot of rain recently. When we arrived at the restaurant there were diners seated outside enjoying their drinks or meal alfresco, which was lovely to see. There were a couple of tables available outside so we asked to be seated at one of them, only to be told that they were not serving any more food outside! When I queried why, they said because "its too hot for our staff"!!! I was beyond shocked and bemused by this rather ridiculous reply! 25 degrees is too hot to serve outside?? (It was not 35 degrees or 40 degrees!) I almost laughed before realising they were adamant about it! I reluctantly accepted a seat inside despite feeling I was about to waste 2hrs of glorious sunshine sitting indoors! But 10 mins later i saw 2 of the guests outside being served food, which really frustrated me! My feedback to the management team of this restaurant is to wake up! And remember your customers are paying a lot of money for your service. Therefore you should where possible always do your best to satisfy your customers requests... especially when it is very possible to do so! You were already serving customers outside... When we finished our meals and paid our bill, they came over to offer us a table outside!!! Talk about 'tone deaf'... completely far removed from reading their customer's sentiment! Aside from this disappointing experience, the truffle arancini starter was lovely, as was the meat balls. But the smoked salmon lacked taste, & prawn linguine needed more flavour for £26. The staff were polite and efficient. But I wouldn't hurry back... in a season when many are struggling with cost of living crisis... I feel strongly about only spending my money where the value and service are exceptional! But it wasn't here.

The food was great, the service was kind and courteous but very very very slow and random attention. Other tables that were seated at similar time with us settled their bills and left while we were still waiting for our mains.

I went here for breakfast. Food was decent and good portion size. Service was quite good but the restaurant has a strange smell like an old people home.

My friend and I sat outside it was a great atmosphere. The service was perfect. Food is pricey but was delicious and came in a timely manner.

Service here is completely unacceptable, the blonde lady at the front is severely lacking in front of house skills. She did not greet or even acknowledge us when we arrived, and when we finally got her attention she was too lazy to seat us and had the audacity to point at a table for us to sit at. Multiple individuals complained about her behaviour today alone. Food is average at best. I would go elsewhere if visiting Bicester. Give Cecconi’s a miss.
