A sumptuous four course afternoon tea or three course set lunch menu are available to pre-book in the bright and beautifully decorated Cavendish restaurant. Using the best of ingredients from our award winning local suppliers, all our dishes are a real treat to enjoy within the historic surroundings of the Stables courtyard at Chatsworth House.

The bus stop is just a short walk from the house, garden and farmyard entrances.<br />The closest train station to Chatsworth is Chesterfield. A light savoury starter is followed by a selection of carefully thought out finger sandwiches. A refreshing interlude follows in the form of a sorbet, before our delectable cakes complete the experience served on a beautiful Wedgwood tea stand. Enjoy as many teas as you can manage from our bespoke range supplied by Northern Tea Merchants of Chesterfield, a cafetiere or barista made coffee. A truly memorable experience.

Freshly baked focaccia and oil served on arrival, then a choice of starters, mains and desserts from a passionately created menu. All for just £45.00per person. A two course option is available for £37.50

Perfect place for a 60th birthday celebration for a friend involving four people. Awesome surroundings but warm and welcoming. The four-seat alcove design was ideal for the size of our party and good for hearing each other comfortably. The staff were friendly and cheerful but also professional and efficient. The three-course meal was really excellent and served at a perfect pace so we never felt rushed. Top marks.

The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and attentive but not in your face. The setting is beautiful and I loved the crockery!

Great experience for a family birthday occasion. Very friendly and accommodating staff, great environment and ambience, beautiful and tasty food, overall great place to dine.

We had the most amazing champagne afternoon tea. The staff were all brilliant. The food and drink were excellent. It was a faultless experience and we would definitely recommend it.

A little expensive but mine was a birthday treat and we enjoyed every single minute of it. The food was amazing and definitely tasted homemade. The staff were very attentive and we had everything we asked for including the leftover food being boxed up so we could take it home. An experience to remember

This was a fantastic afternoon team experience - the food was lovely and served at a good pace with plenty of space in between. When the food arrived the server explained what it was and which course we were having. The restaurant team were warm, friendly and really helped make the experience. There was no rush and everything was beautifully presented - we were even encouraged to order more hot drinks. This couldn't have been any better - Perfect!

Had afternoon tea for a birthday treat, Enjoyed every part of the experience, excellent food, amazing lady who served are afternoon tea, very helpful with advice on the different tea’s available to have. Wonderful afternoon in the Cavendish Restaurant.
