Using the best of ingredients from our award winning local suppliers, all our dishes are a real treat to enjoy within the historic surroundings of the Stables courtyard at Chatsworth House.

The bus stop is just a short walk from the house, garden and farmyard entrances.<br />The closest train station to Chatsworth is Chesterfield. A light savoury starter is followed by a selection of carefully thought out finger sandwiches. A refreshing interlude follows in the form of a sorbet, before our delectable cakes complete the experience served on a beautiful Wedgwood tea stand. Enjoy as many teas as you can manage from our bespoke range supplied by Northern Tea Merchants of Chesterfield, a cafetiere or barista made coffee. A truly memorable experience.

Enjoy a delicious three course meal served within the comfortable ambiance of the Cavendish restaurant in the historic Stables courtyard at Chatsworth, created using the finest ingredients sourced from our award winning suppliers and the Chatsworth Estate. Freshly baked focaccia and oil served on arrival, then a choice of starters, mains and desserts from a passionately created menu. All for just £45.00per person. A two course option is available for £37.50

With thyme mashed potato, steamed tender stem broccoli, red wine jus and a Bourguignon garnish

Served on a chickpea casserole with pak choi, coriander yoghurt and crispy onions
Black bean shakshuka
Served with a baked egg, coriander yoghurt, guacamole and flat bread

Wonderful experience- the staff were all lovely and made us feel welcome, with some great tea recommendations. A relaxing way to spend the afternoon and there was no rush for us to be gone by a certain time. Beautiful surroundings and food was amazing! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.

Fantastic afternoon tea experience as a gift. V expensive so I would not have bought it for myself but lovely. V good food but not excellent.

The food in general was very good but the chicken Kiev I had was very dry and overcooked. The menu is very limited in relation to the price of a three course and greater variety would encourage me to book again

Child’s tea cakes were too rich except for the brownie. Didn’t like palate cleanser. Sorbet much better

Amazing afternoon tea with a lot of thought going into each course. Restaurant was beautiful and had a relaxed ambience. Quite pricey for an afternoon tea to say you don’t get any fizz but enjoyed it anyway.

We had a really delicious lunch here on Saturday July 6th. The table was well located, the choice was great, the portion sizes perfect for a 3 course lunch and the staff were helpful without being excessive. We have booked again to take my mother in law for her birthday. We had a look at the afternoon tea being served to other tables and it looks lovely but if you are hungry, definitely book for the 3 course lunch & if the chicken Kiev is being served, it is epic!

Only half of restaurant in use. Noisy group of people in other half having coffee and snacks for part of our meal

This was a birthday treat and my third time. It didn’t disappoint in anyway. From start to finish the staff were impeccable with the service. The food was fabulous different tastes my husband wouldn’t normally have. He thoroughly enjoyed it. We do alot of Afternoon Teas around the Uk when we are out and about. Chatsworth stands out all the time. Christmas is my next visit I m already looking forward to it. Do go you won’t be disappointed.
