A light savoury starter is followed by a selection of carefully thought out finger sandwiches. A refreshing interlude follows in the form of a sorbet, before our delectable cakes complete the experience served on a beautiful Wedgwood tea stand. Enjoy as many teas as you can manage from our bespoke range supplied by Northern Tea Merchants of Chesterfield, a cafetiere or barista made coffee. A truly memorable experience.

Enjoy a delicious three course meal served within the comfortable ambiance of the Cavendish Restaurant in the historic Stables courtyard at Chatsworth, created using the finest ingredients sourced from our award winning suppliers and the Chatsworth Estate. Freshly baked breads and salted butter served on arrival, followed by a choice of starters, mains and desserts from a passionately created menu. All for just £45.00per person. A two course option is available for £37.50.

With a rich lentil cassoulet, crispy kale and herb crumb

I took my daughter to the house today for her birthday and part of the day was a cream tea at the Cavendish Restaurant. The staff were amazing in catering for our mobility issues. They were professional but made you feel like they were there just for you. You were made to feel special every step of the way. The food was delicious and at the end they brought out a decorated plate and treat for her birthday. It was by no means your "normal" cream tea .. it was a complete and amazing experience that I certainly hope to return and repeat on many an occasion.

We had a lovely afternoon tea in the Cavendish restaurant. Paul was very warm and welcoming and also very attentive and was very knowledgeable on the menu and the tea to accompany it. The raspberry and blood orange possett was our favourite.

Great setting for a leisurely lunch - food and service perfect in every way in a lovely serene atmosphere. A great setting to treat my friend on her 80th birthday!

We had a voucher without that , it was £49.50 per person. We had a different tea with each element of the afternoon tea. A very good service, food was amazing.

Sadly not as good as usual. Changes in staff, service felt rushed and was not as attentive as usual, warm bread promised on the menu was served cold. Starters, mains and desserts were tasty and well presented but it just didn’t feel the same. The Cavendish has always been a special place for lunch and afternoon tea and it would be a great shame if it became just like everywhere else☹️
