Our first time dining at Cavalier and it was absolutely exquisite! Our server Polo was awesome, attentive, and knew the menu very well. Hotel Executive Chef Andres visited our table, making sure everything was to our liking. James also visited our table with great detail about the restaurant, food and hotel. Chilean Seabass was divine! The Charcuterie board and bone marrow appetizer we’re out of the world! If you’re looking for a perfect date night with a someone special, this restaurant has the ambience and romance you are looking for. If you have not visited, you are missing out. We will definitely be back.

Food was amazing, drinks were horrible. Carajillo served dark with no ice and martini was with too much vermouth.

Loved everything we ordered. The Citrus Salad had fresh oranges and grapefruit in it and was really lite and summery. The Lobster Tagliatelle was perfectly al dente. The Beef Tenderloin was cooked medium rare, just as l requested, and came with delicious mashed potatoes and the best broccolini I have ever had. I am not normally a big broccolini fan but Cavalier made me a believer. Our server, Polo, was friendly and very knowledgeable. The arrival of the food was well timed. The restaurant’s General Manager stopped by to make sure all was well. He mentioned that the restaurant’s pastry chef was nominated a few years ago for a James Beard Award. This explains why every dessert we ordered was fantastic. Our personal favorite was the restaurant’s unique take on a brownie tart, which was super rich, moist and made with excellent quality dark chocolate. We are from San Antonio and want to return soon. It is difficult to find quality food in the Riverwalk area but Cavalier provides.

Food was incredibly delicious. We ordered too much, but enjoyed every part of it. Servers were very attentive and it was nice to be at a place where we could hear one another without effort 😀

We came for breakfast and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Our servers attentive and kind. My husband and I basically cleaned our plates because how delicious the food was. The restaurant and hotel itself is very beautiful.

The dining experience was wonderful. The food is fantastic. We were celebrating a birthday and they took such great care of us. We will be back again!

Overall the ambience was really nice. They’re working through some newness kinks like watered down “cocktail” drinks, glass breaking, staff standing and talking loudly at the water stations that are an inch from the table, etc., but the food was good!

From the ambiance to the staff, everything was outstanding. Pollo was our server. His attention to detail and knowledge of all the offerings made our meal extra special. Will be back soon to try the Tomahawk!
