The Caucus Club, located in the Penobscot Building, is an historic, stylish art deco masterpiece featuring two distinct dining spaces, historic bar and live Jazz. The front entrance leads guests to the elegant front dining room with the stage being the focal point. The back entrance leads to the dark and moody back room and bar with space for mingling, cocktails and dining. Adjacent to the bar entrance is the Caucus Club Kitchen, fully viewable from the hallway of the Penobscot building.

The menu centers around the in-house dry-aging room, yielding Prime Steaks and Chops expertly butchered on site. The balance of the menu features seafood and eclectic dishes that change with the seasons. Lunch has its own unique offerings, and the Bar offers distinct offerings for Happy Hour. An extensive wine list is housed in a state of the art cellar with private lockers.

Dress code is business casual at a minimum, and is strictly enforced. Please dress accordingly

This was mine and my husband's first time. Stepping into Caucus Club, you are immediately greeted at the door by the manager and your server. At the time of my reservation, I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, and they had a birthday card waiting for him with a wax seal - so incredibly kind! It was not busy at the time so we were asked if we would like a table or a booth, so we picked a booth and sat side-by-side with a view of the entire place because we knew this was going to be an experience we wanted to witness together. Sitting down, you have your glasses filled with ice water and a nice warm bread basket to enjoy. The piano player was amazing the entire time - very talented. The dim romantic lighting in the place with the piano really sets the mood and is very enjoyable. You are asked for drink and appetizer orders - which my husband had a Crown Royale and coke - I had the Sunset Cooler cocktail which was a very different taste but very refreshing! We did not get any appetizers as we had two bread baskets - LOL! For our main course I ordered the Steak Frites, Wood Fired which came with the most amazing French fries. The steak was the size of a small woman's hand, it was so mouth-watering and cut like butter! And the Macaroni and Cheese which is made with a white cheese - rich and creamy with a toasted top! My husband ordered the Chicago Cut Bone-In Ribeye, 18 ounce with sautéed mushrooms which were huge and not your normal mushrooms you get. For a side dish he got the Twice Baked Potato which as also huge and packed with flavor. We shared pretty much everything together and still didn't finish it all so we brought it home and also saved the steak bone for our very spoiled dog. All we have to say about Caucus is great job to all the staff! We will be back in the future so save us a table. Cheers.

Overall experience was good. We were sat prior to a piano player playing, would have liked to have been asked if we minded sitting right in front of piano, had we known they would be playing. Wait staff was nice- however came over too often and was sharing too many personal stories without prompting and called us little chickadees which was just odd.

This place is amazing! The service could not be better! From the time we pulled up to the time we left, we felt like VIPs. Matt made the experience unforgettable, and JahQuaan was the best server you could get. Food was perfectly prepared and Noah was playing the piano in the background. Just an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this place!!

Took a lady friend to dinner here for her birthday and the waiter Allen was very knowledgeable. Welcoming…the food was top tier. The drink were good. The Tiffany & co drink was great as well…. I will be back.

Most exquisite experience Loved the atmosphere , the service, and the food. The team went out of their way to make us feel welcome . The food both in presentation and actual taste met and surpassed expectations. My sincere compliments to the chef. I would definitely recommend this as an essential visit for anyone in the Detroit metro area. The sense of nostalgia combined with exemplary service makes this an awe-inspiring experience . We will definitely visit again as they have left a lasting impression .

The Caucus Club is one AMAZING restaurant. We had a most enjoyable evening! We were there to celebrate my partner's birthday and the restaurant did not disappoint us. The food was incredible, the service was attentive without being intrusive and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. We absolutely look forward to our next visit!

I definitely enjoy coming to The Caucus Club. It was also great pleasure to see Jay (waiter) he is phenomenal with his great service and his enthusiasm. The steaks are great!
