I recently dined at Cathedrale restaurant that truly impressed me. The blend of succulent steak paired with rich, creamy fettuccine alfredo was nothing short of divine. Each bite was a delightful experience! To top it off, the drinks were equally exceptional, perfectly complementing the meal. It was an unforgettable culinary adventure!

As a frequent diner who enjoys visiting some of the finest restaurants in LA, New York, and Miami, I’ve noticed a recurring theme across all Tao Group establishments in the U.S. One of the main reasons I choose to spend $40 on a piece of fish or $80 on a steak isn’t just the food—it’s the atmosphere, the vibe, the sense of being part of something special. But sadly, in every Tao restaurant, I encounter the same functional, emotionless service. Sure, the servers take your order, bring your food, ask how you liked it, and deliver the check—but you can feel, with every fiber of your being, that they genuinely don’t care. It’s all surface-level, robotic, and scripted. There’s no sincerity, no warmth, no joy in what they’re doing. It’s purely a matter of following corporate procedures. It’s disheartening—truly disheartening—that this is consistent across all Tao locations. The issue clearly stems from an HR philosophy that doesn’t value the importance of emotional connection in hospitality. Restaurants are about more than just the food; they’re about creating a welcoming, memorable experience where diners feel genuinely cared for. Servers should love what they do, radiate positivity, and treat guests like close friends in their own homes—not as just another table to serve. This lack of warmth is palpable, and while not everyone may notice it, as someone with significant dining experience, I can confidently say this is a systemic problem throughout Tao’s U.S. locations. It starts at the top, with leadership and HR, who either fail to grasp the value of genuine hospitality or have become complacent, relying on the company’s strong brand to overlook such an important aspect. It’s deeply disappointing, and I sincerely hope that one day the leadership at Tao Group will realize what they’ve lost and return to the roots of what makes a great restaurant: not just good food or an Instagram-worthy setting, but true hospitality, warmth, and connection.

There are 2 rooms inside the restaurant. Initially we have chosen the Catherdral for its interior decoration and looks. The result was very disappointing. The room we were dining was as good as any other restaurant. Actually it was less than many other nice restaurants in LV. The other room had some decorations which looked rather cheap, in my opinion. So nothing special and not at all what we expected. The food was overpriced, even for Las Vegas standards. We ordered the $60 noodles and they were literally swimming in butter. I dont know if this is a ‘“specialty”, but it was annoying. Taste was ok but not more. I had a glass of red wine for $30 which after tax and tip is more than $40. Wine was ok but thats it. So ,quite disappointing for what we expected. The service was good. Our recommendation is the NoMad library, which ticked all boxes. Great food, really cool restaurant, exceptionel service and it was even lower priced.

The entrance to the restaurant is stunning which gives a nice ambiance as you start your meal. The food was delicious, but expensive. This was a birthday celebration so I didn’t mind as much, but I probably wouldn’t come here for a regular dinner. We got the tomahawk which was served table side and felt like we had dinner with a show!!!

Terrible experience. First this 9:30 reservation with opentable was not honored . Secondly, when I found out about the "no reservation" issue, they took very long to confirm that I could get there before 10 pm so we can be served, I spoke to Brian. We ran to cathedral with very little time to get to the window of 10 pm. When we got there, ladies at the reception went through all the process again not accepting us for dinner. I asked for Brian, Brian showed telling us that the other Brian (????) That I talked to has mistakenly guided us and it will not be possible to serve us. Terrible experience for me and my clients.

The ambience and decor was amazing. Waiter could have been a bit more attentive and the food was only fair . I was at a couple of other restaurants that were Amazing the other two nights I was in Las Vegas . If I hadn’t gone there I might have rated this place a bit higher but was not the case . I tasted two other dishes aside from mine and it was only fair . There’s room to improve .

We loved Cathedral. Not only was the food and service great but the restaurant offers an experience with some of their menu items. I would highly recommend the salt baked sea bass. Our waitress was so sweet, she even took care of our dessert because the brought out the wrong side dish. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing experience, the best food! Jehr was our server and great banter, recommendations and service. Loved the attention to detail for our anniversary dinner. Thank you Cathedral, we will be back.
