   The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful—elegant décor, warm lighting, and great attention to detail. Unfortunately, the service didn’t reflect the same level of care. Our experience started poorly at the host stand, where four hosts struggled to confirm our reservation and made us feel like we were lucky just to be seated. Once at the table, our server was unhelpful and seemed uninterested. When we asked for menu guidance, he simply read descriptions and repeatedly suggested the more expensive options. We ordered the veal porterhouse medium rare and truffle fettuccine. While the pasta was delicious, the steak came out medium to medium well. When we questioned the doneness, the waiter insisted it was medium rare until we literally had to shine a flashlight on it. A manager confirmed the mistake and offered to remake it—but said it would take 40 minutes, which felt excessive. He was dismissive and made a vague offer to “do something with dessert” instead of taking real accountability. They brought us a basic salad and, ironically, the replacement steak arrived in 16 minutes—but it was still overcooked. At that point, we gave up. One of the female managers was kind and tried to recover the experience, but the damage was already done. A complimentary lemon dessert and unexpected birthday treat (likely pulled from my OpenTable info) were nice gestures, but didn’t make up for the repeated missteps. The steak should’ve been comped, plain and simple. Mistakes happen—but the lack of professionalism, rude behavior, and the poor handling of the situation made the entire experience more frustrating than it needed to be. We won’t be returning.

   Their spaghetti with truffle mushrooms is the best spaghetti I ever ate

   A great space, and lots of fun. But we felt rushed. Our drink order didn’t even arrive before we were asked what food we wanted to order. So we asked the server to wait until we had a few sips and conversation. Once we ordered the food, the appetizers came swiftly, and the entrées arrived before we even finished the apps. We were literally moving our appetizer plates to the side to make room for the entrée. Not acceptable when you’re in a restaurant of this caliber. And we made it clear at the beginning that we wanted to enjoy the evening at our own pace, since we were celebrating my birthday.  In all honesty, I don’t think the server had control over what the kitchen was doing, because we could see he wasn’t happy with them, bringing out our plates that quickly, either. Overall, though, a good experience.  But will we be back? Probably not.

   Cathedral exceeded my expectations. The service was some of the best I've ever had. Our waiter made sure we were taken care of and went out of his way to make sure we had an excellent dining experience. This restaurant itself is beautiful and unique, the food is delicious and creative but what really takes it over the top is the attention of all the waitstaff. Highly recommend this restaurant! Can't wait to be back.

    Location, ambiance, and service are all lovely. Food and drinks were okay, nothing special. Lobster bisque was incredibly salty, French onion soup was great. I had lamb chops which were quite flavorless, the lobster rigatoni was a 7/10, al dente. Was expecting more!
