Perched above the dynamic streets of the West Hollywood Design District on the corner of Melrose and San Vicente, Catch LA features modern renditions of classic dishes served in a streaming, shareable style of dining. The retractable rooftop haven marries simple yet elegant, seafood, sushi, and steak with excellent service and a lively atmosphere complete with a unique, open-air dining room and breathtaking views of Downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. The menu features signature dishes including the Catch Roll, Truffle Sashimi, A5 Japanese Wagyu on a hot rock, Mushroom Spaghetti, and Cantonese Lobster.

What a delicious, delightful, magical night for a birthday under stars and twinkling lights! Our entire 12-person party enjoyed themselves thoroughly and tried nearly everything on the menu. Sharing is recommended. You cannot go wrong with any dish — or cocktail. I’ve never had a better yuzu-sake cocktail, Caesar salad, garlic truffle fries, or linguine with clams. You must try the spicy tuna rice cakes, sashimi rainbow pizza, oysters in ponzu, and grilled octopus. For dessert, DEFINITELY the strawberry shortcake…. OMG. Whatever’s in that mound of pink heaven is sheer perfection, and surprisingly refreshing! We may have walked away with a bill over 1K, but the memories —and photos (that entryway! xoxo) — made our first experience at Catch more than worth the pretty penny.

The food is good, and the drinks are good, and the atmosphere is ok / just too noisy and crowded for my liking. But is it worth $450 for two people? Well, I guess you’ll have to decide.. my wife and I each had two drinks and a meal, and that’s what it cost 👀 knock that bill in half, and I’d be happy to come back, but no way is that worth $450 in my opinion 😂

Probably one the best sea food I have ever had. Bar area is also very nice when you wait for your table!

I’ll start this by saying I’m the type of person who’d rather tap dance into traffic than have to send an item back to the kitchen. I don’t like to complain, but my god what an awful experience this was. Lobster was rubber at the head and claws but fully undercooked at the tail, and slathered in TJ’s ginger soy sauce which completely destroyed any lobster flavor. The NY strip was seared, sliced into thin pieces, and served to us room temp. We asked for it to be warmed up, and it came back as shoe leather drowned in garlic oil. These two items, rubbery half-cooked lobster in TJs soy ginger and a NY shoe leather bathing in oil, cost us $200. The chocolate cake was bizarre and impossible to eat: picture a melted Klondike bar stacked on a mealy chocolate cake on a layer of hard ice cream on another layer of mealy chocolate cake. Each time we put the spoon through it we thought we’d shatter the plate because of the force needed to get through the chocolate Klondike shell, then the hard layer of ice cream, then the give of the cake below. Service was also hit or miss. Our waiter was fine, the bartender and host were lovely, but our sommelier didn’t have a wine key, told us outright that he doesn’t drink wine, and (understandably) seemed to struggle with describing a pairing. Sweet people, but a poor overall experience. Ambiance was great. This place has vibes, and only vibes. Vibes don’t justify an exorbitant bill for inedible food. The food was inexcusable and borderline dangerous. My stomach is seriously unwell today, which might be from the undercooked lobster tail, room temperature steak, or bath of oil. Fire the kitchen.

Loved it. This was our 3rd visit over the past few years. We enjoyed the Hits 1 selection - great variety of terrific food. We appreciated the friendly staff, great view, open air seating, and beautiful ambience.

Amazing spot for our party of 9. Fabulous service and well-paced dinner with lots of shared plates and a delicious branzino for the table. Beautiful venue, lovely outdoor seating and magical interior garden-like entry way.

I don’t know who was in the kitchen but everything we ordered was nasty had NO flavor, and the fries were salty. The catch roll and the shrimp were the best.

Beautiful rooftop patio, open air dining space in the middle of WEHO. The food and the cocktails were delicious and the service was excellent. Really enjoyed my experience with Catch LA
