Perched above the dynamic streets of the West Hollywood Design District on the corner of Melrose and San Vicente, Catch LA features modern renditions of classic dishes served in a streaming, shareable style of dining. The retractable rooftop haven marries simple yet elegant, seafood, sushi, and steak with excellent service and a lively atmosphere complete with a unique, open-air dining room and breathtaking views of Downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. The menu features signature dishes including the Catch Roll, Truffle Sashimi, A5 Japanese Wagyu on a hot rock, Mushroom Spaghetti, and Cantonese Lobster.

I booked this place specifically to celebrate my partner's birthday. We were greeted downstairs and door person recognised we were celebrating a birthday. However once upstairs at our table no waiter acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday, even when we ordered dessert they did not bring a candle or sing despite other tables around us having been offered that service. It was slightly disappointing as staff were not diligent to check or did not ask if we were celebrating especially since I picked this place for this occasion. Disappointing service over all.

Overall the experience was terrible, we waited more than 45 minutes for our order to be served, when it arrived it was not complete, the pasta was salty and the fries were super oily, etc.

Overall, we were pretty satisfied with the food and the environment. We would definitely come back.

We took our daughter and 15 of her friends to celebrate her 17th birthday at Catch LA. At first we were asked to leave a 50% deposit which was not a problem. Prior to the endeavor we were asked to leave a 100% deposit 5 days prior to the event which was a bit surprising. In addition, we were told that we could reserve the outside seating rooftop experience. This was a contributing factor to our decision to book Catch LA. When we arrived we were informed that this was no longer available and was now closed and tented off. This was a bit surprising to us considering when we booked the endeavor we informed our contact that this is what we were interested in. At no time were we informed that this was an option no longer. Probably explains why they wanted a 100% deposit ahead of time. In addition the front desk reception also informed us that we were on a 2 hour time limit to finish the occasion and the time starts once we are seated. She was quite rude. (Blonde hair gal) However I must say that the waiter was absolutely fantastic. Overall if you were spending $3500 on dinner, you would definitely expect a much better experience. We have held large engagement dinners at Mastros and were provided a much better experience by far.

From the moment I walked into Catch LA, I knew I was in for a special evening. The ambiance was electric, the service impeccable, and the food...oh, the food! I had the Lobster Macaroni, and it was simply divine. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, perfectly cooked lobster in a creamy, decadent sauce. It was truly delectable and delicious. But Catch LA is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The rooftop setting is breathtaking, with stunning views of the city. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, yet still intimate and inviting. It's the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a night out with friends. I've been a long-time admirer of Mark Birnbaum and his incredible success in the hospitality industry. His wife, Tori Praver, was actually the reason I first checked out Catch LA (huge fan!). Mr. Birnbaum, if you ever read this, I'd be honored to meet you one day and pick your brain. You're an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs like myself, and I believe we share the same passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Thank you, Catch LA, for a truly memorable evening. I can't wait to return! Highly recommend!

I love Catch NY and while in LA could not miss a chance to come here. Everything was great as per usual. Great food as always, we got everything very quickly. The right place to dress up nicely. It was a bit too loud because of bigger groups near us, but overall 5 stars
