By Train Southeastern runs frequent train services to and from Bearsted Station. Taxis are also occasionally available. However, if you are bringing a bicycle on the train, or fancy a three mile walk, you may prefer to use Hollingbourne Station which is closer.

Great food and service. Fish and chips were delicious. A bit on the pricy side but a great experience.

The breakfast, as hotel guest, was very good. The vening meal was excellent.

While the food and service were excellent. Our safety was put at risk by a group of people who were allowed to blow up ballon’s using a gas cylinder. The cylinder was brought i. Through the restaurant and then used on the balcony. We were sitting by the window and any accident with the gas cylinder would have seen us seriously injured by flying glass or even parts of the gas cylinder. I can’t believe that this was allowed to happen. These balloons should have been blown up before the part6 arrived at the restsurant.

Having visited after the recent refurbishment, Castle View has been on our list to try. The views of the castle are beautiful and we were lucky to visit on a sunny evening. The terrace was not recommended for food due to seagulls and other birds so we ate indoors. The food was average, similar to pub fare so not for those who are looking for something a bit more special. The service could do with a bit of improvement. The waiter gave us honest opinions of the menu which was appreciated but drinks were slow and common etiquette was lacking. Our group left feeling as though the staff were being multipurposed and weren’t used to being waiters. Would recommend for nice views of the castle but otherwise not distinctive.

Lovely service. Lovely location with stunning views. Excellent service. Food was good but not that many options and overpriced.

Dining on a sunny evening in view in the castle was magnificent. Service was a fraction slow and there was a lack of clarity re the ice cream dessert - ice cream or sorbet which was not wanted. This was removed from bill however - many thanks. Pork belly and Cod superb as was lemon tart

Wonderful evening. The best view of the castle as the sun was going down. Great food and very good service. Spotless restaurant, lovely atmosphere. One of our favourite restaurants.
