Castaways is a new restaurant located in the heart of downtown Port Jefferson. We are from the same restaurant group that brought you Chops and Drift 82. We will offer some of our most popular dishes from the two restaurants as well as our own new menu items. Our food is tropical, Caribbean and South Pacific inspired to go along with our amazing Tiki - Bar. We look forward to having you!

Honestly, I was very surprised with this restaurant. I didn’t have high expectations but the food was flavorful and delicious. The spicy marg we got was outstanding. The waitress was kind and attentive. I thought the prices were a bit overpriced but at the end of the day the food delivered. It was a pleasant surprise and a good experience. Furthermore i have celiac and need to eat gluten free and the waitstaff was so knowledgeable and helpful to ensure i felt comfortable and the food was prepared properly. I’m writing this review the next day to ensure I wasn’t glutened. I would happily return and urge others to give this restaurant a try. We got the seafood bisque, raw oysters, the sea bass and the jerk chicken. There was not one complaint towards any of our order or the service.

The food is absolutely delicious! Our waitress was so nice and friendly. Great atmosphere too

Excellent service, good wine & drink selection. NY sirloin and pork chop (3" thick) were outstanding. A bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for!

We had a delicious meal with outstanding service. This is our second visit and we had hoped to be outside where it is quieter, but the threat of rain kept us indoors. The noise level was the only compliant; we will return for more wonderful seafood.

New restaurant in Port Jeff. Sat outside on a sunny day. Good atmosphere . Drinks ok . Needs more lunch choices. Burger and shrimp po-boy very good with large portions. Friendly service.

This was our second time going to castaways since they opened. A big step up, the food quality was excellent, had a great sunny Friday afternoon in port Jeff. The waiter took care of us and when I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday they gave us a free dessert. Hit up this place regardless of weather, but a sunny summer day will make it better.
