The view of the beach and lake were beautiful, along with being able to watch all of the activities and then turn around and see the skyline. They are located on the 2nd level and being up higher is key to being able to see so much. The drinks are good - they have some nice signature offerings. The food was good and ample for the cost. The service was very good - we had a very enjoyable couple of hours. I would definitely go back.

Beachy, fun atmosphere with drinks that match and friendly and attentive servers!! We loved the DJ- hope they are there the next time we come!

Learned about this place on WGN during a news segment. Realized it had a great location and views of the skyline and pier which was perfect for summer fireworks. Made a reservation but wasn’t required. Amazing table overlooking the lake and volleyball courts. Started with a frozen drink, tuna tartare, and chicken fingers. Friendly and fast service. I’d definitely come here again to enjoy the weather and views of Chicago.

Nice little spot on the beach with great views. Service was great and very attentive. Food was fine.

Castaways was very good. We made reservations and were able to sit in a prime location - on the deck with the astro turf and nicer tables and a killer view of the skyline and Navy Pier. The food was delicious. Our server was great. I spilled my drink. She gave me a towel, wet wipes and more napkins and gave me another drink. The drinks were yummy too. I had the spicy watermelon margarita. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are downstairs and had been used by beachgoers all day. Absolutely disgusting. Smelly, dirty, unflushed toilets galore. I’d advise avoiding them, if you can.

Great view and location and very loud music. Wgn report said you could reserve a cabana, didn’t mention the steep cost.
