Le Castaway Restaurant and Special Events Center est situé dans les collines de Burbank. Castaway was the perfect place for our family to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. The view from our table was phenomenal and our server Andrew made the night incredible. Our kids were treated well and loved the menu options, his wine recommendations were spot on and the oysters, steak and fish dishes were delicious. Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to go back!

It was my first time and since the moment we walked to get sat down to the moment we left everything was great! We walked in by a young lady who was so kind to give us a different table with a view because we were celebrating a birthday. We then sat down and Andrew was our server/waiter and he was so amazing. He was so attentive, kept checking on us and gave us the best service. We had some drinks Love at First Sight and Paid Vacation and they both tasted great!! Now the food, we started with the popcorn chicken and it was so good! We got the steak and it was cooked the way we ask. Everything had flavor. We just had a great time!

Celebrated my Wife’s birthday here. We had the best time. The food and ambiance exceeded our expectations. Every one working there was very helpful and friendly.

This was unfortunate. Nothing was done for my partner’s birthday by our server. Not even an acknowledgement even though I heard someone on staff tell our server that we were celebrating a birthday. Our drinks were delayed although it was not very busy. My partner’s steak came cooked under. It was taken back to the kitchen and came back without any of the accoutrements, which was disappointing because the garlic was tasty. It was also severely under Salted. The tomato salad was delicious. And the shrimp cocktail was acceptable. The Mac and cheese was also very good. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend based on the service.

I recently visited Castaway, and while there were some positives, my experience left much to be desired. The ambiance was lovely—modern and aesthetically pleasing, which created a welcoming first impression. The staff, overall, were friendly and polite, but unfortunately the service fell short. When we were seated, the table hadn't been cleaned, and while the hostess acknowledged this and said she would return to wipe it down, she never came back. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. The wait time for our food was unexpectedly long, and when it finally arrived, our order was mixed up. On top of that, both steaks were overcooked, which was disappointing given the high expectations we had for the meal.

Teddy was the BEST server and made the experience so much more enjoyable. Will definitely be asking for him on my next visit.

The views were amazing but overall, this was not our favorite spot. After a week in LA, we had been blown away by the food and service everywhere else we ate. The service at Castaway was lackluster and the food was over-priced with no kid friendly options. We ordered a Belgian waffle side for my daughter and it came out covered in a spicy butter that she wouldn’t touch. The sun was in our eyes and the servers were not responsive when we asked for help moving umbrellas. We were so disappointed with our last meal in LA.
