Le Castaway Restaurant and Special Events Center est situé dans les collines de Burbank. Great view. Great value. Very engaging servers. Far too loud on the music. Good portion size. Their gift card program is a mess: server had to manually enter 4 different very long numbers. These cards are offered from the restaurant directly and have bar codes on them. Why not be able to scan? Puzzling. We will likely definitely return, but need to have a quieter section so that patrons can talk to one another. We would have stayed for drinks but went elsewhere..

We visited the restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. The menu turned out to be very limited and did not match the price-quality ratio at all. The service also left much to be desired: the waitstaff constantly walked through our table area, causing disruptions and even bumping into our chairs, which was quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the cleanliness of the establishment is questionable—this was especially noticeable in the restrooms. The only thing truly worthy of praise is the stunning view. It’s undoubtedly the main highlight of the restaurant, but sadly, that’s where the positives end. The prices for the dishes are unreasonably high, and the quality doesn’t live up to expectations. The atmosphere was also far from what we anticipated: we noticed many dissatisfied guests around us, complaining about overpriced bills, mediocre dishes, and the overall experience. If you decide to visit, it might be best to stick to cocktails and enjoy the view. For anything beyond that, this place falls short.

Overly priced food and drink. Dry age ribeye was tough not seasoned enough. Waiter was MIA. Not even asked how our food was. Brought regular salt and pepper when extra seasoning was requested.

Great food, great service, but weirdly they have started charging a $9 valet fee as well as requiring you to park down the hill and take a shuttle to and from the restaurant. An odd and disruptive experience for such an upscale spot.

Booked a table of 13 for my wife's birthday. Our server Ireland was fantastic. Super positive, had great recommendations and took care of us all night. We had a few kids and they were very accommodating and understanding as they are a handful. Only disappointment was seeing a $130 for water (sparkling and still). It was not made clear that we'd be charged, nor were we ever given prices. The water was more than any entree and possibly even all the alcoholic drinks. It does look like they comped us dessert (to make up for not having a high chair available, but was totally ok) so I guess it's a wash but still would have been nice to be made aware of the water charge and pricing. Would definitely recommend this place for big groups or a romantic dinner for two. The food and service are well worth it.

Food and service were excellent. Brought my mom here for a sunset early dinner. She had a wonderful time and enjoyed the food. Wyatt was a great server.

Short rib hash was so good. Great portions. Garlic fries are also a must. Calamari is good. Prime hangar steak is good, but only get it if you really like steak. It has a good steak and smoky flavor to it. Mimosas are bottomless only, so if you would like to enjoy them make sure you’re ready to get drunk. They are delicious, but only do it if you’re going to get your money’s worth. Espresso martini was fabulous, highly recommend if you don’t want mimosas. Overall really good experience; it is my second time coming here and highly recommend booking a reservation.

Unfortunately not a good experience... Arrived on time for our 8:30 reservation, seated at 8:45, ordered everything in one shot, food arrived after 10pm...the place was busy, but visibly, obviously less than usual...food arrived stale, obviously had been under a heat lamp for a long time or microwaved...wasn't edible, had to send it back, dinner and night ruined
