Cassis Bistro is a cozy gem offering award-wining elevated French cuisine and inventive cocktails. Founded by Gilles Brassart and his wife Andrea, our bistro brings the authentic flavours of Provence to Calgary. The menu, curated by Executive Chef/Partner Dominique Moussu, features dishes like house-made ravioli, steak frites, wild salmon, and duck confit, all crafted with the freshest local ingredients.

There is no better bistro in Calgary. Charming, cozy, wonderful service, consistently impeccable food & drink. Our absolute favourite and a sublime neighbourhood gem.

Very disappointing. We have dined there three times and so I was looking forward to enjoying the same meal as I had the last time:scallop ceviche and, as a main course, mussels. The scallops were overly marinated. All I could taste was the vinegar in the marinade. The mussels did not seem to be even remotely similar, in taste and texture, to those I have enjoyed in PEI. But then, in all fairness, Calgary is pretty far from the sea. However, the broth was so salty that it would have masked the flavour of the best of mussels. It was as if the broth had been stored in the kitchen for days. The mussels came without baguette and without mayonnaise for the fries, which is most unusual. I had to ask for each. And then the fries were a bit soggy and somewhat “coolish” to quote my partner. She throughly enjoyed her meal, soup and the plat de jour. And our friends likewise enjoyed theirs. Dessert, “triple chocolate”, was very good. Service was spotty. The back server did not seem capable of cracking a smile. The floor manager, the gentleman in the white shirt”, was too busy gossiping with his chums at the bar to acknowledge guests upon exiting. What happened to the floor? Not a welcoming environment, unlike on previous occasions. So much for my birthday dinner! I’ll grab a hamburger and fries at the local pub to celebrate, if I have the good fortune to live until next year.

Remains our favorite French bistro in town. Steak frites seems so popular and I get it but I feel that people in Calgary are perhaps missing out on the seafood here which is always spectacular. Lovely place.

Always an incredible experience. Easily Calgary's most underrated restaurant. Had the beef tartar, duck confit rillette, and the muscles - all were excellent, as was the wine. The vibe of the patio is warm and elegant. Great date spot.
