Casadonna is a Coastal Italian-inspired waterfront restaurant developed in partnership between Groot Hospitality and Tao Group Hospitality. It is housed in the same Mediterranean revival building as Miami’s historic Women’s Club, located in the city’s burgeoning Edgewater neighborhood. In fact, the name “Casadonna” is derived from the setting—it is a fusion of Italian words translating to “house of the woman.”
Riviera-style Italian cooking serves as the heart of Casadonna’s cuisine. The menu features the freshest and finest local and imported products, with signature handcrafted dishes. Plates are based around traditional recipes found in the coastal towns of Naples, Taormina, Bari, Positano and Gaeta, and each is presented in a contemporary fashion. Bespoke cocktails and an extensive wine list will complement this approach.

I was quiet disappointed with this place. The bar at entrance where you meet the hostess look very beautiful and opulent, high ceiling and nice decor. But once you walk through to get to the indoor seating it’s low ceiling and very cluttered with very little space between the tables. When I made my reservation I requested a both in a secluded area, but initially they gave me a regular table in the center of the restaurant with extremely loud drunk people. I politely went to the entrance and asked to be moved, since my request was a booth in a quiet area, they offered me a corner table with resemble like a partial booth but with very little space between the next table. So if you looking for a private romantic dinner that’s not your place. Food was ordinary and expensive for the size of the portion. I had the Branzino, with was a very small portion and tasteless. My hubby had pasta, his plate was like kids size meal. The cocktails were overpriced too, I ordered 2 but when I left to the bathroom and returned I had another cocktail on my table, I asked my husband if he ordered it he said he didn’t , it was just the waiter trying to to make more money, he was very pushy whatever. I had the cocktail, more $22 wouldn’t make difference on our bill, I just don’t like this kind of attitude. I been on the best restaurants in Miami, and I thought I would have a great experience at this place, but overall was disappointing. This place is overrated.

There was only one waiter to serve about 20-25 clients. He tried hard but it was impossible to do a good job, everyone was calling him at the same time. We had to order for drinks several times as they would not bring them. The explanation about the dessert was wrong and they did not offer to change it. Food was OK, but not impressive. Very expensive for the poor service. They should hire more waiters.

Great ambiance. The food was great. Just don't go too hungry. Somewhat on the expensive side and the portions are average. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. I really wanted to love this place bc I have been wanting to go here forever! We ordered the tomahawk steak medium cooked and it came back very well done. The server didn’t come check on us but I was able to flag down a manager to help. He apologized and offered to send another dish out. Once it came out it took 10 min to get utensils to eat the pasta and it was cold. We enjoyed the pasta dish (if you do go here order the pasta). I never write reviews but thought this might help someone decide if they should come here or not.

Enjoy dinner inside and after dinner drinks outside. The location is absolutely beautiful!

Great ambience - outside seating is the way to go (since a vibe) and brunch was amazing! Our server (Hannah) was hospitable, helping and very personable. Highly recommend brunch at Casadonna.

The design and decor are exceptional. It is geographically on a wonderful part of the bay. The bar/lounge area outside was fantastic. The staff were warm,welcoming,and accommodating as we asked to change from an inside table to outside. Sadly, the food was average and a bit slow paced. If the kitchen can match its game to the rest of the restaurant, it will be something truly special.

Superb food with amazingly fresh pasta and fish Service is still a little off - they seem to have an odd arrogance that turns some ppl away (thus the low Google review). We love the food and outdoor space!! Recommend
