Casadonna is a Coastal Italian-inspired waterfront restaurant developed in partnership between Groot Hospitality and Tao Group Hospitality. It is housed in the same Mediterranean revival building as Miami’s historic Women’s Club, located in the city’s burgeoning Edgewater neighborhood. In fact, the name “Casadonna” is derived from the setting—it is a fusion of Italian words translating to “house of the woman.”
Riviera-style Italian cooking serves as the heart of Casadonna’s cuisine. The menu features the freshest and finest local and imported products, with signature handcrafted dishes. Plates are based around traditional recipes found in the coastal towns of Naples, Taormina, Bari, Positano and Gaeta, and each is presented in a contemporary fashion. Bespoke cocktails and an extensive wine list will complement this approach.

Filet was burned. Food was average. Knives were not sharp. Servers were incompetent. Will not go back

I would say that the service was very very poor for a restaurant of that level. First of all, the "kindness" of the hostesses was really fake and easily to see. They had the table ready for us when the whole party arrived, which is totally fine. But the table was outside, i personally asked the hostess to sit indoors because it was very hot, and I also apologized for changing the accommodation. She clearly was not happy with my request, but she said no problem. I'll be right back. They made us wait over 10 mins just because we asked to be seated indoors. I went to the front to ask for the table, and the Maitre D said, it's getting ready now. The restaurant was empty . After almost 5 more minutes, one man in a suit asked if we needed help because we were waiting in the middle of the dining room. He walked us to the table right away to any table for 6 that it was ready. FINALLY SEATED. Then, the server. Another fake "nice attitude." He took the order for drinks. The drinks took 30 mins to get to the table, I got lost for a long time and came back to take the order for the appetizers, when the appetizers arrived, he told us. Ok, you have 3 mins to order the main course because the kitchen is gonna close. I told him " you dissappear for 30 mins and now are you pushing me to order fast. Ok thank you for those 3 mins. And He said. Ok you have 5 mins. I said. Ohhh. Thank you for those 2 more mins. He left and after a couple of minutes said. Take your time to order the food. He did this because he noted that his service was poor. Honestly I know the industry and mostly the fine dining industry, and I can say I would never come back for the service. I would only come back for the food and because the place is gorgeous, fantastic interior design 🫶🏾. We were celebrating a Bachelorette dinner, and just because we wanted to enjoy the moment, we didn't make a big deal about it but I definitely consider this review was necessary. Our dinner was on last Monday.

Stunning outside area. The pasta was really delicious ravioli and rigatoni. The stuffed blossoms were amazing. Service was solid and they made my 2year old sons experience really great. Super chic but family friendly to boot. Will be back.

I was quiet disappointed with this place. The bar at entrance where you meet the hostess look very beautiful and opulent, high ceiling and nice decor. But once you walk through to get to the indoor seating it’s low ceiling and very cluttered with very little space between the tables. When I made my reservation I requested a both in a secluded area, but initially they gave me a regular table in the center of the restaurant with extremely loud drunk people. I politely went to the entrance and asked to be moved, since my request was a booth in a quiet area, they offered me a corner table with resemble like a partial booth but with very little space between the next table. So if you looking for a private romantic dinner that’s not your place. Food was ordinary and expensive for the size of the portion. I had the Branzino, with was a very small portion and tasteless. My hubby had pasta, his plate was like kids size meal. The cocktails were overpriced too, I ordered 2 but when I left to the bathroom and returned I had another cocktail on my table, I asked my husband if he ordered it he said he didn’t , it was just the waiter trying to to make more money, he was very pushy whatever. I had the cocktail, more $22 wouldn’t make difference on our bill, I just don’t like this kind of attitude. I been on the best restaurants in Miami, and I thought I would have a great experience at this place, but overall was disappointing. This place is overrated.

There was only one waiter to serve about 20-25 clients. He tried hard but it was impossible to do a good job, everyone was calling him at the same time. We had to order for drinks several times as they would not bring them. The explanation about the dessert was wrong and they did not offer to change it. Food was OK, but not impressive. Very expensive for the poor service. They should hire more waiters.

Great ambiance. The food was great. Just don't go too hungry. Somewhat on the expensive side and the portions are average. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. I really wanted to love this place bc I have been wanting to go here forever! We ordered the tomahawk steak medium cooked and it came back very well done. The server didn’t come check on us but I was able to flag down a manager to help. He apologized and offered to send another dish out. Once it came out it took 10 min to get utensils to eat the pasta and it was cold. We enjoyed the pasta dish (if you do go here order the pasta). I never write reviews but thought this might help someone decide if they should come here or not.
