Benvenuti! Casa Santo Stefano is a new Sicilian restaurant from the Gonzmart family, owners of the Columbia Restaurant Group. The lunch and dinner menus feature maccheroni (pasta), steaks, seafood, scacciata, salads, soups, desserts and hundreds of Sicilian wines. Curbside takeout is available by calling the main phone number. The rooftop Santo's Drinkeria also is open.

Housed in a beautifully re-imagined former 1925 Ybor City macaroni factory, the restaurant is a look back to Sunday suppers, simpler times and shared stories.

Dress code: Casa Santo Stefano often is visited for celebrations and special occasion meals, so it is common for our guests to sport formal wear in the dining room. We welcome everyone, but politely ask that men wear sleeves at Casa Santo Stefano.

This restaurant with high ceiling is loud by default. It’s difficult to have conversations while dining in such a loud environment.

Appetizers were fabulous from the stuffed artichoke to the mussels. Entrees were also delicious. Spicy zuppa and tasty pork chops. Always a great dining experience.

Expecting wonders since it’s owned by the Gonzmarts and The Columbia is simply the best, and was pleased — but not overwhelmed. Had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation to be seated, and lasagna was very salty. But we loved the arancini and pork chops! Atmosphere was great, lively on a Saturday night. When I go back I’ll try a pizza and sit at the kitchen tables to watch the chefs in action.

Food took so long apps, two entrees and a dessert took 3 hours to complete when the place was empty. The server was so bad that it even took him 15 minutes to bring us the check. The food was average to bad with salty meatballs And pasta and a honey pizza that was so saturated with honey it was inedible. Not surprising given the other restaurants in this company , but even bad for them.
