Benvenuti! Casa Santo Stefano is a Sicilian restaurant from the Gonzmart family, owners of the 1905 Family Of Restaurants. The lunch and dinner menus feature maccheroni (pasta), steaks, seafood, scacciata, salads, soups, desserts and hundreds of Sicilian wines. Curbside takeout is available by calling the main phone number. The rooftop Santo's Drinkeria also is open.

Housed in a beautifully re-imagined former 1925 Ybor City macaroni factory, the restaurant is a look back to Sunday suppers, simpler times and shared stories.

Dress code: Casa Santo Stefano often is visited for celebrations and special occasion meals, so it is common for our guests to sport formal wear in the dining room. We welcome everyone, but politely ask that men wear sleeves at Casa Santo Stefano.

The food was delicious, like the grilled octopus and the thin crust pizza with hot honey. However, the service was not that great. Still, I would definitely return.

This restaurant is very good. However, this visit we had drinks and ordered salads and a pizza. The side caesar salads were large and very good. The pizza we ordered with everything on it however, had scant amounts of sausage and meatballs. It was very disappointing. Robert our waiter was very good. We went upstairs to listen to music, Ian was playing and he is just superb. Such a talented musician.

I took some close family members to dinner here last Friday because I wanted them to experience an upscale ambience without having to pay the heavy price for it. I have been here before, so I was interested in the reaction I would get from them once we arrived. Upon entering the restaurant, they were immediately impressed with the overall look and design of the place. I watched as they scanned over the many pictures of family and friends; most likely the Gonzmart family I would imagine, and they really couldn’t stop talking about how good it felt to be there. We were a little early so we sat at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly, quick to serve, and shared a good sense of humor with us. I do want to give a shout out to our server Vincent as well. He was outstanding. Not only was his service to us impeccable, but his knowledge of the restaurant and his unique description of each dish we questioned him about made the dining experience that much more enjoyable. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Tampa.

Theo took excellent care of us-attentive but not hovering. Food selections were a perfect combo of appetizers for lunch. Always lovely to be greeted by Vincent!
